Another idea Devs will prob never read.

  1. INTRODUCTION

Devs probably won't read this and if they do, almost certainly won't implement it, but will fire on anyway. So I was thinking of ways to make kaw better. Lots of promos and endless upgrades over the last few years but nothing much in the way of permanent, in game content with the exception of same old new ebs. Surely this area needs to be updated regularly to keep the game fresh? This is a big post so hope you have 10 mins to read it :)

    GENERALS

How does any self-respecting medieval Kingdom control a large army? Yep, they employ generals to lead their armies.

    - Generals all offer a stat boost to the kingdom they are working for. Att + 20m, Def + 5m, Spy att + 10m, Spy Ded + 4m for example.

    - 1 general to start with then a new general slot opens for every 10 buildings built. Generals stack as your army gets bigger.

    - Lots of generals to choose from offering a range of stat boosts/skills.

    - You need to pay gold or nobility points for your general to work for you, once a week, if he's not paid, he doesn't work.

    - You can change generals once a week or keep for another week.

    - Some generals offer special skills.

    - Generals will be ranked in a star system.

Generals to choose from will be released to the player as they progress through the game. Sets of generals can be release to choose from by

    - Completing certain ebs for first time in game.

    - Unlocking achievements like conqueror, scout etc.

    - Attacking battle list X amount of times.

    - EE war events and promotions.

    STAR SYSTEM

    - There are 5 basic tiers to the types of generals. The 1* generals offer a small bonus for small players whilst the 5* generals offer a larger bonus for bigger players.

    - 1* generals are cheap to hire and 5* generals are expensive but will have a bigger possibility of having skills available.

    - For higher * generals with skills available, you can hire them for a proportional amount of gold or nobility to what the skills provide (a lot of gold to hire - hundreds of billions)

    - Legendary generals are awarded to players who do well in promos and events. They will offer specialised skills + large stat bonuses but will be really expensive to hire.

    - Legendary hires should be limited to one legendary hire per week to avoid abuse.

    SKILL SYSTEM

This, for me, is the most important part of this idea. It has the potential to solve problems in the game, change some aspects of the game (for the better) and to increase developer revenue as a result of increased xtal/seal/nobs sales.

Some generals will come with a skill. The higher the * of the general, the more likely they will have a skill.

So for 1* generals, some may have basic skills that will help new players but the majority will have no skills, just stat boosts.

For higher * generals, most will have a skill which will aid more experienced players and offer tactical advantages.

For promo awarded legendary generals, skills like plunder bonuses can be available. Here are just a few examples of the many different things that can be done with this system

    1* Generals

    - Gives max plunder. This is purely aimed at new players, one thing that can make new players quit before giving the game a chance is gaining max plunder. As a player who has trained many players, this was always difficult for new players to grasp.

Let's make it easier for them. They should be able to hit an eb straight away at mp to give themselves time to familiarise themselves to the game and learn about allies.

If they are earning mp, they will quickly pass the out dated lowlands and get into the game.

1* generals will offer a very low stat boost which they will want to swap with a higher * general as they progress into the game.

    2* to 4* Generals

    - Increase in equipment/scroll/aqua/inferno drop rates.

    - Increase in pot drop rates from ebs.

    - Decrease in mith spell prices.

    - Increase in enchantment rates.

    - Chance to find out if player has more than 500 billion out when scouting.

    - Steals take away more enemy gold.

    - You lose less gold when stolen from.

    - When pinned through assassination, takes 20 mins (example) until can be stolen again.

    5* Generals

    EE bonuses such as

    - Increased mith payout.

    - Quicker regen times (during ee).

    - Free war crystal (ha).

    - Remove enemies bfa/bfe for first 10 mins of war.

    - Invulnerability for a set period.

    - Tons more ee boosts you've probably seen suggested before.

    legendary Generals

    Plunder bonuses - 100% , 200% or even 300% bonus plunder.

Need to hire first, hire cost should be very high gold or high nobility for 1 week of this. The idea is, players who have spent a lot of time to get legendary generals will have to use a lot of crystals/seals to cover the gold spent on activating the general and to make a profit.

These are just a few examples of what can be done. If Devs ever implement clan system improvements - I.e. Clan vaults, clan skill type things. This can be incorporated in to that.

I must stress that each general with a skill will have to be hired for a proportional amount of gold or nobs for benefit of skill. Also, types of skills can't be stacked - you can hire 2 pot bonus generals but only the highest bonus will work. This is to avoid abuse.

    ELEMENTS (OPTIONAL)

This idea is a little more complexand is aimed at experienced players.

    - Generals can have elemental abilities at their disposal with an elemental symbol to show their power.

    - The ability to use elements must be activated with mith or nobs and lasts for one day.

    - No activation is needed for a defender, if he has any elemental defense - it will automatically kick in if he is attacked by someone using elements

There are four elements. Fire, water, lightning and earth which work as a four way rock, paper, scissors game.

    - Fire beats earth but loses to water.

    - Water beats fire but loses to lightning.

    - Lightning beats water but loses to earth.

    - Earth beats lightning but loses to fire.

    - All other combinations are null.

If a general has a fire symbol it gives kingdom a 10% fire bonus, same for other elements.

As most people won't have more than 10 ally slots at this stage in game, that's a possible 100% total of one element.

So, if player a has a 70% fire bonus from generals and player b has a 20% earth bonus -

    Player a has a 50% bonus over player b.

We can then use this advantage to deduct more gold lost or won.

If we take 10% ( or any percentage that the Devs choose) of the advantage - so in this case 5%, we can add that as a bonus to attackers att/Spy att or defenders Def/Spy def.

As it costs mith to activate, this should be a further incentive to participate in EE.

    CONCLUSION

I have put together a well thought out idea that complements and improves many aspects of the game in my opinion. It offers lots of incentives with boosts and adds a whole new dimension to this game. There could be many tactical aspects in this idea which would improve the game.

I do realise this would take a lot of development time but that's why we pay the Devs so much isn't it? To continually develop this game. I've heard a few people referring to this app as a dated app, well ideas like these will freshen it up.

I know this prob won't happen but if the Devs read this, hopefully they will think about some of the ideas.

Told you it was a big post.

Support if you want. Trolls always welcome ;-)

  2. This is not clash?

  3. TL;DR

    Devs do read ideas though.

  4. General kyle reporting for duty sir

  5. Perhaps ok can be our always

  6. No. I don't think they have a system in place like this. No ideas pinched from other games.

  7. This is a semi copy of smash

  8. I read it!!

I'll support anything which is a gold sink. This was also well-written and thought out. You answered my questions about maintenance cost before I had the chance to ask. :D

From my understanding, they would essentially work like a new set of spells, and that, sir, is cool.

    So support.

I would also like to see a bit of anarchy - if you don't pay your general, have her mutiny occasionally and nick off with some of your troops (intermittent online regen-stunt).

  9. Read all the way through and this is a great idea. Full support!

I also would like something similar to Daphnia's idea of mutiny. Maybe there can be a chance of getting an outlaw instead of a general that has negative effects. And lets say that they last for maybe 3-5 days instead of a week for negative effects (however, a week works too).

    Just my two sense.

  10. Sounds like Aang The Avatar haha.. But good idea which I think the devs wont be bothered about.

  11. Daphnia - could you give me a brief in 30 words as I think you were the only one who read. I'm driving so it would help. I give an A for effort.

  12. Bunch of generals, buy with gold, get a bunch of special skills. Done.

  13. if they were only available for in game gold, i would support. it would be a new gold sink and would allow a bit more customization.

  14. The reason I put in the option for buying with nobs is because if you think about how Devs release content, they always have everything geared towards people spending money.

I'd prefer it to be in game gold but Devs would never make something that they can't profit from. So, I thought how could I do this in a way that'd be fair to players who don't pay as much and players who will.

I think the balance is ok, if there needs to be one.

  15. the problem is that it would be just another way for spenders to gain advantage. free players would have to spend their ingame gold, which would be gold they couldn't spend on upgrades or allies. pay 2 players would just pay the extra cash. so then they would not only get far more income than free players, they would also then have these other special bonuses.

spenders have quite enough advantage already.
