This game is 75% social, 20% political and 5% tap tap. If it wasn't for the people, the friends and the friends you make on this little ap, it would have died long ago. If ATA did something right, it was to organize the social aspect, the clan structure, the clan chat and putting friends against the community. The game itself is easy to understand and it is definitely not an application for those who are impatient. Time and repetition is your friend. Social networking in this app can be your biggest friend or your worst enemy. In the end, no matter what happens, nobody can blow up your phone, tear down your build or physically affect you in any way. It's a tap tap that some take far too serious and obsession takes control. The game itself though would have 50x more players, possibly more, if new players had a simple, in-app guide that pops up for the new player that explains what all the buttons and functions do. Almost nobody will take the time from an iPhone or Droid application to go to forums and sort and weed through all the forum garbage to find the actual instructions. People quit because they can't get ally maxed, start playing and can't find clan chat, world chat or any other tabs. It gets confusing, so they build a couple stables and quit the app, without ever knowing what the game was even about. With just very minor changes to the application it would be 10x more popular, be a lot more fun and have an overall goal instead of pushing repeat button for 4 years, only to have new lands released.. It's like seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, only to go dark again with very little light left. The frustration is what causes people to leave.
Talk about coming out to say hi! Other main stream games have everything kaw lacks... a legit tutorial for new players lol and way bigger fam base. Kaw is slowly dying!
Poppa bear, I think it would have 100x more players if the actual game were interesting and dynamic. SMASH has way better gameplay than this game does. SMASH will surpass this game because of that. It is easier to learn and is more strategic.
And on the topic of the thread. I say screw trying to hf complete and screw new lands entirely. Let the paying players put themselves in a category where they can only play with themselves for the most part.
Lets say 200k people actively play. About 2/5 people regularly spend money on this game. Lets pretend that only, out of 200k people, only 100 seals are bought. Thats 600 dollars a day. 4200 dollars a week (USD). 12800 in 4 weeks. Theres plenty more than 100 seals bought per day. The devs might not be living on yachts, but ATA in rollin in plenty of money per day to keep up with annual raises.
Kaw is doing fine financially. If it wasn't, more than likely first thing you'd see is ads for starters. They just released a new eb and lands/buildings. Obviously they have money to keep funding development. HTE clans are ever growing and with HTE comes xstals Hunts and promos are again common So I'm confused as to why some think kaw is failing?!
They have a different mindset from the majority of KaW, and if their way doesn't get put first, they think something is wrong.
These days, unless you are prepared to pump real money into this game, growth is painfully slow and we all know the bigger you are the better for a whole host of reasons. I'm fed up with being HLBC only for HF to open a week later. Same with HFBC only for Abyss to appear. I realise that new lands keep the player happy but trying to keep up is becoming almost impossible. I feel bad for any new players starting out. They have a humungous mountain to climb. I don't envy you! For me? I still find the game fun enough for now. Although all these money grabbing promos are wearing me down. In short, unless you are prepared to pay to play you are destined for a KAW life of struggle. Not cool.
What ATA has here is an addicting free to play "pay to win" game. But is is no "jewel" by any means, that's the problem. They pump out promo after promo strategicly enticing the willing to hand out that $$$. This game makes more than it should for whay it is and no effort is out into making the game better. That's why some view it as dying. Alot of us are getting very tired of this game, it's the same old same old with an exponentially growing gap between the paying players and the average players. It's disgusting really, and I think alot of us are just starting not to give a damn about this game. We play because it's a habit not because we overly enjoy it or love this game any longer. And that is the destiny of kaw with the path it's on. When your new youl love it, later if you don't pay youl just get sick of even looking at it.
Simply put once ur of a large size u can grow easy enough without spending money. It only takes a lil pluggin along. Now the war community is another matter all together. OSW die hards r losing interest with rampant cs growth n promos. EB only ppl r catered to n yet most have BC tunnel vision. EE clans simply morph along but their is dissension from many warriors. The problem is unless ur a PS/PS1 the goal posts r always moving n creates more disinterest. Their is not a clan war format available to Att builds with hansels overrunning rosters now. Too many warriors r left out as a result. I won't spend on promos only the occasional EE War til S5 unless my interest wanes into numbness.
Lol @ ppl thinking it cost much money to fund development on this game. The most expensive thing they would pay for would be the original artwork. That would also take the most time. The rest of the "development" on the game is plug and play. They haven't "developed" anything new since EE wars. They just bring us new artwork and call it development.
