Possible Outcomes of New Lands

    First off I'd like to say that although I am fairly new to forums, this is a new account of an old player. I tried to recover my old account, but support (helpful as ever) told me it couldn't be done. Now onto the topic.

    The new lands are just on the horizon. Only a few days away. To start with the obvious, players' cs is going to be huge now. A level one Abyss building has to be better than (or very close to) a level 5 HF building, so that will automatically bump cs (per building) up about 500k. We all already know that the LB are only going to get bigger, so I'm not going to talk about them. But what could this mean for clan requirements? Clans could start asking for ridiculous stat levels.

    Next on the agenda. Plunder. HTE already gives 3x plunder. Well with the new stat possibilities, could there be a new eb that gives even more? Maybe one in the Scrag the Bloodless ebs? I can't imagine that kind of payout. A single AFF can already give over 1 tril in total plunder for all participants. Imagine if that was 3x.

    Finally, player retention. We already have a huge issue with player retention. New player A see's Redstar's account and immediately gives up. That's if they even get someone to teach them how the game works or find an ally or a combination of many things. This could create a serious blow to that. We know the new lands and buildings are simply here to try to keep spenders spending. But LBers like Cella and Redstar will probably be LC and BC within the hour of the lands coming out because of the massive amounts of gold they have built up.

    Well those are what I could think of. Feel free to discuss below on how you think the new lands will play out. I'd like to hear your own thoughts.

  3. No way to fix it. It's the way it is. There is actually nothing anyone can do. It has nothing to do with pay to win, it's just the way the game has to progress regardless.
     
  4. First of all, your assumption of the new buildings' stats is pretty wrong. Have a look at T5 and T6. In no way a T6 lvl 1 has better stats than a T5 lvl 3 (or 4). It has a 10% increase (of was it 15%?) over T5 lvl1 while costing a whole lot more.

    I do see a problem arising for HTE. If plunder still goes up like it did with HF, you risk seeing new ebs with a better plunder payout than HTE for players that are past HFBC. Devs might need to adapt the HTE plunder curve to keep it attractive or introduce a new pay-to-play eb.
     
  5. Now look at the final level for each tiers balanced building! I'll just use T4, T5, and T6. T4 CoE final stats for attack and defense is about 95K. T5 final stats for attack and defense is about 234K. T6 is 601k around i believe? Or it's a little more. Final levels always more than double the previous final levels.

    That means the final level on these guys stats for balanced is going to be 1.2m attack and defense! That's insane! Multiply it by 25 and that's a 30M stat boost! A clan with just 15 ABC (Abyss Build Complete) people could finish a scrag eb by themselves!
