Updated Title. This thread can be about plain survival as well. Will update OP later. Hey KaWers! Ok, so my inner nerd is coming out here and I am about to go into full on zombie survival mode. If zombies aren’t your thing, you may just want to scroll past this post entirely. Wait… zombies ARE your thing? Holy ****, we are going to be best friends. Let’s get our **** together and make a zombie apocalypse survival plan because let’s face it, the time is now. Not convinced? Hear me out. It IS actually possible a zombie apocalypse could happen. It’s not like vampires, werewolves or any of that crap, zombies are humans who come back from the dead and if you choose to believe speculation, there are rumours Hitler was trying to find create a superhuman race (e.g. eternal life) with the Nazi party (hence why most zombies are Nazis in games)… so let’s just all be speculators and say this could happen. Before I share my own zombie apocalypse plan, I want to give you the option to join in with me. Because let’s face it, everyone has different and awesome ideas and anything that will help my own survival is something I am interested in. So, here are the rules. Now, let’s get to the good stuff. Rules – Zombies can run. – Zombies can’t swim. – All bitten people come back as Zombies. – Zombie bites can turn you. – Zombies can't climb. – Zombies can see and smell better than you. – Zombies follow sound. Here’s my plan. Location I would definitely go to a Cabelas or Bass Pro Shop for weapons first. I would then move on the the Fort Grant Prison, in the Graham Mountains in AZ. It is an easily defendable position. Weapons Have you seen The Walking Dead? Have you seen what a boss Daryl Dixon is with a crossbow? You better believe I am going to have a crossbow. My primary Gun will be a US IWI Tavor SAR Rifle. -Pros Chambered in 9mm or NATO rounds, which are both widely available. Sleek design Durable The Israeli's built it. They know their guns. - Cons Still waiting for one. My secondary will be a Springfield XD-S. -Pro's Chambered in .45 or 9mm, widely available rounds. Durable design Tactical Black Comfortable Handgrip - Cons Susceptible to Jams I also will need a Phillipine Bola Machete (the exact one from The Book of Eli, I actually have one). Of course, I’m going to need training in these weapons so I’ve pretty much decided this month I have to start working on my hand eye co-ordination. I’m a dropper. Extra Escape Routes I think it’s really important that even if you have a location figured out, you have extra escape routes for when you need to get out, fast. We all know by now that no matter where we find to hold up, someday it’s going to all fall through and we’ll need to relocate. For me, I’ve always thought ropes/sheets hanging out of windows were amazing ideas and I’m very confused at the lack of this in movies/tv shows/games. Zombies can’t climb. Zombies do not care to ruin your escape routes, they don’t understand an escape route. Countless people have died because they got trapped on the top floor without any way out, well that’s not going to be me. Comrades I know I will not be able to do this alone. But I also know that who I choose to take with me on my road to survival could potentially hold me back, so it’s one I’ve had to think about carefully. For starters, anyone who shows up with a weapon is on my team. Anyone who shows up without a weapon better get one ASAP because I am not looking after any hangers on. This next one might be a little controversial… but I’m taking at least one morbidly obese person with me. I need someone I can outrun should the crap defy gravity and hit the ceiling fan, and I’m sorry to say it, but the physically fit have the best chance of survival. It’s a zombies eat people world out there guys. IN CASE OF ZOMBIE BITE See this as my personal disclaimer to each and every one of you in the event I am bitten by a zombie. KILL ME! Shoot me in the head immediately and don’t look back. Do not let me become a zombie that will go on to eat your children because you better believe I will be a boss of a zombie apocalypse survivor and a boss of a zombie should that situation arise. No hesitation and don’t be a hero, just shoot. Look away if you have to, I get it, but I don't want that. Ok guys, now it’s over to you.
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth Additional Items: Survival Manuals I own all of these, and they are comprehensive guides for most any disaster. My favorite is the SAS one. All of these would be going with me. This is another great one, detailing everything from how to clean a gun, to how to barter in a dystopian future. This one is mandatory. After reading Patriots, I realized that Rawles knows his stuff.
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth I don't love them. Scary? Maybe because they will eat you. Favorite zombie movie is The Walking Dead eventough I haven't finished watch the last season. Apocalypse strategies? Of course to collect weapons and supplies. And of course try to survive and die normally. Favorite zombie killing weapon, well, arrows and bow. Spear is awesome too.

Escape to Canada, or the Fort Grant prison in AZ. C. Use the Radios to signal for help, and try to wait out the plague. D. If hostile policing forces try to stop us, fight back. E. Begin Civilization again.
