on inflation. long. skip to the second post.

  1. Just give a flat 2b to all new players when they join

  2. Starting gold, eh? Could work. Could be abused by Alts. Make an alt, hire a garbage ally that you vollied with your main. Repeat. That could make the problem worse. Some other form of starter currency could fix the exploit. Silver instead of gold? Only useful for hiring special newb allies? Idk.

A general rebalance of the early game would be a better solution, imo. Buildings and ebs. I've suggested elsewhere that making the early tier buildings less dependent on ally plunder would be useful. And that allowing small players to hit larger Ebs (expanding on the ambush idea) would help.

Not going to go into all that here. Maybe I'll track down the thread in a bit and link it in.

  3. This isn't really the case. The devs have a lot to do with the way players play the game. They discourage the rough and tumble of OSW and PvP. Classic example of this was their recent PvP experiment. First good initiative in years.

It was actually brilliant. But then they caved under pressure by cutting the promo in half and creating an opt out spell. Goodness me.

The fact is that PvP doesn't create the spend that HTE does. So the devs follow the money at the ultimate expense of the greater game.

  4. @giskard- devs don't purchase the seals, they only supply the demand. So your logic is flawed. Yet again it is the players fault.

  5. The players are the ones who decide they need a developer created event to pvp. And then blame devs for the lack of pvp. It truly is silly.

I stand by my belief that massive, large scale osw is the only solution. The hoarding isn't solving anything. The new lands/builds only made the problem worse. So that won't work. Only war will.

Devs can't force the players to stop being hoarding pansies. So the problems will remain.

    I hope you all enjoy:)

  6. @ your first post - i don't buy that logic. the players play the game according to the rules the devs set. arguing that the players are to blame because they take advantage of the advantages that the devs offer in exchange for cash is definitely backwards.

@your second post - yeah, i don't agree with the "needing an event to pvp" bit. BUT again i place a fair amount of blame on the devs. because you can't be competitive without spending a LOT of time growing, and you can't grow without avoiding pvp. that is on the devs.

people will say "you don't have to be big to pvp". right. true. but the problem that you run into is that the person you are fighting will almost always call in someone 2-3x your size to stomp on you unless you are big enough that no one is 2-3x your size. (devs could fix that somewhat with a bit of a tighter hit range)

you have to grow to be competitive + the devs keep lengthing the amount of time it takes to grow = the devs have a fair share of the blame.

not ALL the blame. if people would just use some self restraint and fight with honor, things would be different. but people are people. they will use any underhanded tactics available to win at a "tap app".

  7. Yup i started a alt and played it 2 days. Day 1 hitting ambush no pots. Hit a escape and dropped 1500 pots. Made 23b off 1 eb. Boom ll done and allies. But yeah new players dont know this and some cant get a seal even if they found out. I do agree with monkey tho. Warring is best way to eliminate the gold as the entire system is already in playe. But god forbid some eb fairies lose any amount of there precious fake gold LMAO. Its funny really. No one wants to war in a war game. Makes me chuckle

  8. Devs created the vehicle. Then monetised it. While the inequality between HTE and hitting someone is so pronounced, the large majority will opt for EB.

For mine, the PvP event should be permanent with no opt out. I think it would reinvigorate the game, take some heat out of the KaW economy and engender a little more OSW.

Once the initial shock is absorbed, I think the devs would make more money. Everybody wins.

  9. im sure we could asighn a little blame on every player, and each ata employee that has a say on in game features.

ok random idea, what if the market had another element that was dynamic and determined how much(or even at a loss) profit the sale of an ally will bring.

not much to work with, i know. just something to throw out there.

  10. I got a solution to all problems, Developers need to increase normal pay Out on all t1,t2,t3 Eb.. They need to Update EB pay outs, so they can reflect te True Kaw EconomY... If they dont fix the EB pay Out, they will eventually Kill the game in the long Run...

  11. What problem does that solve? Read the OP again.

  12. So if I were to go wreck my vehicle tonight, I could use the defense that Mercedes made it, so it's their fault? I fail to understand your logic.

There also is a pvp event that has run 24/7 since September 11, 2009. It's the players choice to opt in or to not opt in. (I'm talking about kingdoms at war as a whole for those too dense to understand).

The only reason anyone needs to EB to catch up(or feels they need to) is because everyone was pansies too long and let each other start hoarding. If everyone had been warring this whole time instead of hoarding and being pansies this problem wouldn't even exist.

So again, it is the players fault. Sorry you guys can't acknowledge your own part in the problem

  13. you are just being argumentative to be argumentative.

there is no similarity between driver error and a game designer being responsible for setting and having ultimate control over the parameters of their game. and no one has placed all of the blame on the devs.

  14. That isnt a bad idea. and some lower tier eq while they are at it.

    general question,
should there be a daily cap on how much a player can earn in one day? eb wise of course.

@gisk, it may not have an immediate effect, but it does seem reasonable. its one small change that can have a positive effect for growing accounts without actually taking anything away from paying players.

  15. I'm arguing because your idea won't work. While it would be cool, it wouldn't help the problem you claim it would. How would taxing the large LB a pittance help the small players? How would It balance anything out? It wouldn't. You are just arguing because it's your idea and you don't want to watch it sink. But it still wouldn't balance anything. Back to the drawing board

  16. how can you possibly think that draining quadrillions out of the economy wouldn't ease inflation?

  17. How can you think adding even more things to overwhelm the new player(the lack of which is the root of all problems)is the solution?

Let's make it take 2 more years for a new player to build complete. I'm sure that is the better solution.

I'm not saying your idea for new stuff is silly, what's silly is the fact that you are trying to market and advertise it as a solution to the imbalances.

Ps. My idea also takes quadrillions out of the system.

  18. Are you suggesting that the devs take a % of gold off LB players and others with what u declare as too much gold??

  19. not "the" solution. just something that would help ease the ally issue.

i have other suggestions on other aspects of improvements for new players.

    here's some more.

    focus on new players

  20. no. i'm suggesting adding other things to spend gold on.
