Now that I have reread all of the pros and cons of the PVP event, I can say that it will likely happen again. Sweet. I welcome it. And also welcome the opt-out for you fairies. Have a seat fairies. Watch how the big boys and girls do. So...I wanted to address the big pink elephant in the room, and wish to engage the opinion of those who participated in the event as far as war clans go. There are many CF agreements in KAW. Black Hand had engaged many, and I witnessed many other war clans who violated their CF agreements to participate in the event. Is that wrong? I have much respect for the war clans we hit that hit back...hard. They didn't cry. Didn't threaten to war due to a violation of the agreement made. Much respect. I ask this to all war clans.... In future PvP events do you see this open season approach to PvP as individuals acceptable? If clans attack other war clans that house shard hunters and shard LB players, does that violate in place CF agreements? This is a query to all war clans. I want to engage with a sincere approach. I did not see an OSW break out due to the week long farmfest. Correct me if I'm wrong. And I personally think that is ******* sweet. What do you think? And if you opted out, I don't want your opinion.
First of all, Delta be like Secondly, I think that it is stupid to have a CF ruined because a PVP event. The events are meant to be fun and shouldn't be taken extremely seriously by any clans. Just treat it like hitting the battle list, and hit back.
Most did. And I saw some mumblings here and there. But it is a violation of a CF. Event or not. We had shard LB and sword holders in our CA. I was in the CA of many clans when I held a sword. It was awesome. But would a war clan consider the action as a hostile move and resume a war. I have yet to see that happen. And kudos to them.
PvP event should never be used or construed as a violation of a CF, IMAO. Clans that claim such are grasping at straws. Second, I agree with Willy, opt out sissies, sit there with your binkie and watch how people without Depends© on under their pants play KAW. You just may learn the joy of payback and how sweet noob tears taste.
Also, I don't think PvP event should be any different to how some people play KaW anyway or make any difference to how people play.. A war games a war game right? Sure, people can break CF terms but a PvP event shouldn't make it special, they should expect hard inc and butthurt and extra hard CF terms if the other side then wins.
Within reason. If it's petty hits or a full unload here or there between individual players then I see that as fair game. But if another war clan were to specifically target a war clan member, then i see that as asking to have your clan stripped and cleaned
TL;DR Should be open season during events, don't wanna be spending half my time comparing BL targets to the list of clans we have a CF with. It's a PvP event so it's not an actual hostile attack, everyone should understand that, people causing a fuss just need to chill out. Also, Willy's ***** is bent to the left.
When event started I thought that it would cause atleast one big osw. I'm happy to say I was wrong. PvP events are NOT clan or alliance based, therefor they should not breach any CF terms, hell, I was hitting my friends list
i think its a fun event but i also think larger clans have a lil edge as well as larger accts i feel there has to be a balance to give everybody a equal chance to get equip. How i have no solution to the problem but 'wow' i truely enjoyed it
Good question here, Willy. This is the fun part of KaW. Limiting who you can hit makes it work and borders on obsession in some cases (many clans couldn't hit over half of KaW due to "alliances" and "cease fires" back from the days of old). What is the harm with sharing a few hits in a war game that is meant for hit exchange, and ESPECIALLY during an event made for PvP? Hell we used to hit in clan. It was fun. Playing games within family is ok, too, sometimes even more fun than with strangers. I personally started hitting up and down my wall, to say hello to old friends. Turning the game into Game of Thrones doesn't work, it's just limiting. Play the game. Hit. Have fun with it. Have a beer after. Stop taking it all so seriously, people.
Updates/tweeks to pvp event - should b opt in - if u participate, turn off bfa/bfe - put everyone on a lvl playing field...make it like a primal free for all. - if u opt in, ur allies can only b bought by those that opt in I think ppl r hesitant abt pvp cuz they dun want to wake up tons of hits with trillions out. Also it is understood that ppl r tryin to finishin upgrading and they dun want to bank gold. - What abt havin a set amount lost per hit no matter how much gold you have out for those that opt in? Then ppl wouldnt have to worry abt bankin gold or closing their ally shop.
Finally a half decent thread from Willy. Alliances and truces are very complex and clans are so organic ( people always moving one place to another) that it is unrealistic to expect there would be no friendly fire or cf violations. Having said that, however, if you are aware of the cf or alliance, it is your obligation to uphold it. Personally, I twice stepped over the line due to ignorance, but once I was aware of my mistake, the hitting stopped.
@Jayde It is far more than "a few hits" as you mentioned. I know of at least one case of a ps being stripped by a clan they had a cf hit. I also question that any one alliance in Kaw covers over half the players. Apoc alliances and cf were extensive but I had no problem finding targets. And as for it being "just a game" it's a game that costs money, and whenever anything costs money there will be upset ppl whenever they feel they have lost it. @willy Btw, how did you do in the promo.
