Another cyclist want to share pictures of there bikes, maybe some tips you have learned. For instance, I've learned I should have a few spare tubes packed when going on long rides. Something a little more common sense cuff your jeans/pants before riding, and to tuck your shoe laces if you aren't running a clipless set up. I'll share more pictures as time goes on with the thread, please share some useful or other tips.
The hand pumps suck for on the fly tube changes. If you don't have one already, get a disposable co2 cartridge and an adapter for bicycle tubes. Most cyclery shops sell them. edit: I'll post a picture eventually.
A fun mod for your bike air pump (never leave without one) is to get some pvc and some brake line, and a few other odds and ends. The creat a chamber that allows you to release the inside air. Have a nipple on the side of the chamber and hook your pump on. Congrats! You just made a miniature airsoft gun. Did this a while back but it's still a fun little souvenir.
I didn't learn about tucking things in until it was too late. 1 mashed up shoe lace and a couple ripped pairs of jeans later..
