KaWs Development Team

  1. The Dev Team

I'd like to take a moment to talk about KaWs Dev team. I think a lot of people bash the devs for various reasons. They think updates take too long to come out, or they don't get exactly what they wanted. (imagine that! ) But I don't think those people, or rally a vast majority of KaW, look at the full picture of what these people do. They are constantly working to improve the game and just to keep it running. It's a huge job, and not many mobile games make it as big or last as long as KaW has, so coming up with new content and making sure the game runs correctly is very hard. KaW released for iOS on September 12, 2009. (I believe) So that's over 5 years of KaW. That's a really long time to keep a mobile game, or any game, going strong. ATA also has more than 1 game. (These sadly tend to end up crashing and burning.) But still, managing 1 huge game is hard enough, let alone more than one.

When people get mad at the devs, they just bash whatever they want, without actually thinking for a minute how much time and effort was actually put in to each addition to the game. I know how to program, I understand how hard it is, at least from the coding standpoint. And I think a major thing is that whenever people get mad that they don't get what they want in a certain update, that they don't realize that whatever was already being worked on won't be stopped to start a whole new addition, but will be worked on after. Because I for one would never stop in the middle of a project and start coding another one, that's pointless.

Now about the devs themselves, at least the ones we have interaction with, what do you think of them? If you've been around on KaW for awhile, you know that in 2009-2010 the devs used to talk in wc with us players, like full real conversations, before wc was ads. Now, obviously, they don't. This upsets me, because it was fun to talk to them. And in forums, they are often lurking threads, but don't seem to post as much to me. They mainly just reply on their own threads and usually only the day of and day after that thread comes out. But then again they're very busy managing everything they have to do. But it seems to me their activity and interaction with the players has decreased. Thoughts?

  2. I was mad at the devs for taking my clan once, but now that they've given it back I like them again

  3. KC has been in world chat talking?

  4. Really slayer? I haven't noticed. Guess just another thing flying over my head.

  5. Many of the adults whom play KaW are developers, or work in software companies that know application development. It doesn't take forever to redesign ideas or develop the game like ATA would tell you. They claim to have two development teams, that haven't been able to produce their development roadmap in 10 months. That type of production level, in any software company, would equal pink slips.

The level of support we've received in the past months is clear, this game is on the back burner with development, the developers are trying to just appease the remaining community to finance their new games. This is the game peak. Without significant development to retain long term players, KaW will sink.
