I don't see much of a problem for a lot of people with failing clans, if they don't like failing then they can easily find another clan and the only problem with inactive clans being held by an alt, is that the clan name is already taken lol but if the clan is inactive for a long time then devs should disband it but I do agree about how its tough for newbies to understand and have max ally bonus with the horrible ally market
Devs should reset inactive accounts to 10k purchase price and 400/200 stats instead of deleting them. Noob ally problem solved
Breezy, I like that. Cheers for the input. Thats exactly the kind of constructive thinking Im looking forI.
In a few days, I'll start a new thread. A revised edition of this thread with 4 removed and a few other topics raised.
Why on earth are people hating on smegomatic!? Its kaw's terrible tutorial and dreadful noob fail clans that will be the death of this game as they correctly highlight. When I started I had no idea how to play. After a bit of fumbling I ended up in a clan that in hindsight was a total waste of space. I knew no different at the time. The complete noob owner didnt have a clue how to play. I was on the verge of quitting after a few weeks but i ventured into wc thinking there must be more to this game, sent an 'im a noob' post and thankfully was picked up by the right people. They know who they are. That was over 1.5 years ago. Having a clan of 50 dead tadpoles is something to be ashamed of. Thats 50 ppl who could have grown into this game if you perhaps hadn't of been a poor owner. Its really dev negligence. New starters are entirely reliant on older players to teach the noobs and its pot luck if you end up in the arms of the right ppl. So many of the ppl who have cs of <5,000 could not have played long enough to really 'get' kaw, probably because they didnt have a clue what to do. This is going to sound arrogant but any other viewpoint is tremendously shortsighted and borders on idiocy.
Ha that awful clan I was in is still there. Echoes of Silence its called and its now long dead. Im still listed as admin on the clan page. I must have been <10k cs easily and had no business operating a clan.
Are you sure about this, OP? My clan was created in 23 November 2013. Out of 57 members I have, 2 is permanent. Others go in and out, and we found another 2 horns yesterday. Note: I just failed another Warbeast. But as an owner, do I need to care? Relax. Man.
A new interactive tutorial would make a massive difference it's that simple. Even a 5-10% increase in retaining new players would be noticeable. Kids these days don't read you need a picture book.
Furthermore, I did not run a clan because of money and growth. I run a clan because I believe. It is the decision of the new players on my clan to either go inactive or find a new clan to work with. I don't mind that. Thirdly, failing epic battles more than 5 times in 5-6 days does not have to mean that "Oh, this is it. I'm done. I'm quitting." Most of the players wants an active epic battle clan, I understand. However, a small minority of players prefer to be in a clan where they needs a home, normally active only once a week to a month. It can also mean that they do not necessarily need gold but someone they can trust and accompany with. As part of a new home. And most of the players here in my clan are these types of players I mentioned above. Until this clan reaches 100 members, they do not deserve to be kicked out. It's called caring for them and trust. Failing epic battles is one thing. Trust between members and working together is a different thing, and I put that above epic battles. Conclusion: As long as I, the owner of my clan is here and active my clan will never be dead. It is small with little activity but does it go dead? No. Why? Because I believe. That is why I am still running my clan today with hope. My clan has survived for 11 months.
What i am doing right there, is my own choice and so this isn't called "stubbornness". It's called "determination". I believe. And I will keep going. No matter what happens. As long as I am here, my clan will NEVER fail.
Sean, It is clear that your intentions are not to help new players, mearly just to call yourself a clan owner. Notorious, not sure who you are directing that at buddy.
Lol the mighty, your input is exactly what these nay-sayers need to know about. Its not just you, there are heaps of people that need/ed help and im doing my best to guide as many as i can. Desoul, i agree. Only those who have experience should be able to start a clan. Perhaps a combination of the two. 5mcs AND 1yr achievement.
Hey Smegomatic, allow me to take back what I said. It was a great point there. All this time, I've never realized that new players getting in my clan could be a complete waste if they quit Kaw. Although it's their choice of decision to quit, it looks like they do not have the chance to be a real kaw player of all players. Having said that, I lost the fight. I have now thought of a possible solution to make things right, in order to avoid repeating this same mistake. Whenever new players come to World Chat or either attempts to join my clan, I will ask them to immediately wall/follow you. Seeing that you have better capability than me to guide new players, I shall direct the future new players to you with the hope that they can become the next part of kawers of all kawers, so that they will be much more less likely to quit. Would that help out for you, Smegomatic? And by the way, please forgive me as I attempted to bash your opinion.
If you want to help make a difference, you have to put in the effort to teach them.when they join. It takes time. When i was running a training clan, it wasnt just me. We had about 8 senior/experienced players who then taught dozens of newbies about the game mechanics and how to grow. Those dozens then went on to teach dozens more. All while doing ambush which pays almost as well as haunts. All players were guaranteed the best chance of understanding the game.
