A list of ideas that could be addressed to combat the common kaw problem that is "The Noob Clan" and help new players get started without the difficulty of dealing with noob fools making learning impossible for potential permanant players. 1. Add max ally plunder status to the newbie grey spell. This will stop the limited number of allies from being vollied out of reach too quickly. Kaw is currently suffering a dry spell making it difficult for littlies from even finding affordable allies. 2. Devs, you need a tutorial that is you up to date with modern kaw. 3A. There are too many clans. Bump up the price to reflect todays gold production. 3B. Clans are made to gain the achievement and are then given away to noobs who dont know what they are doing. Either cut out the achievement or allow a refund for half the cost of creating it. Perhaps impose a 2mcs minimum limit on ownership of a clan. 4. Automatic disbandment of any clan with more than 10 fails/forfeits in a 5 day period counting only Tier 1-3 epic battles. That way the OSW clans can still earn their gold without being affected. We need more people helping newbies get started, and less people thinking that they should have their own clan because they have been playing for a whole week. Devs, please pay attention. If you listen to some of our ideas, you just might increase your profits with all the new pro-pack purchasers and horn/seal sales from the increased customer base.
Answer for #1 The ally market is a wreck due to the great ally purge but... If a larger person is willing to assist and gold transfer (via volley) with the small player; max plunder is achievable. Just not as easy as it once was. An ally at ~500mil is a definite keep for smalls and if their ally gets hired, profit to buy an expensive ally. A tutor system would be an interesting idea.
If you have issues with certain ideas, explain your concerns. Lets debate this. What part of 4. Do you disagree with...
Perhaps if you have started a clan but cant complete the easiest of epic battles, then you should lose 25b. Its a punishment for being a fool
There are some people who make a clan to hold alts that my fail small EBs. These clans do serve some purpose for the main, and it would create an outrage if this were implemented. No support for 4.
Who are you to say who deserves a clan? Requirement is 25 bil. If you have that much then by all means start a clan if you want. Are people forced to stay in clan? No? Then if they see the clan is doing poorly or outgrow it they can find new clan. Bad clans get weeded out eventually. If someone can't progress like that then they will never last in this game anyway.
I've played this game for several years and I've never once met a newbie clan owner incapable of starting an epic battle You possess a strong hatred for the inexperienced. The punishment should be, owner has an inactive clan incapable of growth. It is up to the (current) owner of the clan to disband it or not. What's foolish is this egotistical behaviour.
When searching for for fresh allies I notice its very rare to find one under 1b, which is indeed a great problem for new players. Even winning t3 ebs, 1b is a pain for new players to reach, and takes too much time proportional to their size. I do think however, that the short tiny tutorial is enough, as often I am overencumbered by complicated tutorials. Games have to catch your attention before the real game even starts, or you dont get customers. Lastly, while I strongly support increasing the clan cost, I do not agree with clan refunds or automatic disbandment of clans that fail t1-3 ebs. If they enjoy failing, let them. Players can always move clans
I don't speak for AJ, but my specific issue with #4 is automatically disbanding clans leaves said new-accts out in the cold. Kinda like waking up in an alley with no memory of how you got there. Instead of punishing them for joining small clans, we should work at integrating new players within the broader community - not sanctioning them for showing leadership or ambition. Failing is still a lesson.
I agree. Also, some people pay 100 nobs for clans (unless ive been away that long and it was removed) which would likely cause players to quit due to their money being wasted, or in business standards, one less customer.
Ive been playing for years aswell and not only have i been asked "how do i start an epic battle" by a clan owner that has been given an unwanted clan, but i have also been asked "what is an epic battle". Hating the inexperienced is far from the truth. I spend much of my time helping new players and used to run a training clan. Im trying to find ways of helping new players get past this difficult stage when the concept of changing clans is challenging
'Help new players get past this stage' by disbanding a clan 'given' to them or purchased out of their money/time? 'Changing clans is challenging' Of course it is, I mean disbanding a clan is one thing then they're left to venture on their own. You may have helped clans in need, we all have but I think your viewpoint is a little twisted. Feel free to brush over Saber and Daphnia's responses
I wouldnt call it 'leadership', perhaps 'stubbornness'. Its not like ive set the bar high. 10 low level fails in 5 days. If anyone is failing this many then they obviously don't know what they are doing. And who says they have to be left out in the cold. A message with details of what to do next in notifications should be enough. "Press the yellow speach bubble to enter world chat and ask for help finding a clan that suits your build"
