This is my idea for a potential promo. I was wondering what you thought of it. Please feel free to constructively critique or improve upon my idea. Community input helps make ideas strong. Anyhow, is this something you'd enjoy? for my Christmas promo I am proposing a snowball gathering contest. Here is how it would work.... Like other promos we've done, snowballs would drop from specific EBs. That would mean that the EB warriors among us would have something to entertain them selves. Unlike other promos, however, snowballs can be taken from opponents via attacks and steals, so the people who enjoy PvP can have some fun too. Here is the basic set up.......... 1. Snow balls drop from epic battles 2. Snow balls can be taken via attacks/steals 3. Snowballs cannot be banked 4. If you PvP a person who has no snowballs to lose, that person will still have a chance to "drop" snowballs like an EB. 5. PvP will Always drop more snowballs than EBs. 6. There will be a snowball leaderboard which is updated 4 times a day. This gives you the opportunity to knock off the leader and take your own shot at glory At the end of the promo, prizes would be awarded on a tiered system. Once the prizes were awarded, the snowballs would turn become attack pots that you could throw at other players (much like our fireworks) The entire point of this exercise is to offer the community a promo that rewards more than just activity. I want an promo with excitement that extends from players competing against each other instead of competing against a clock. I also want his promo to be all inclusive to the different groups in this game, which is why I have offered to have snowballs drop from EBs as well as PvP. Trouble shoot: I can hear one objection from the community right now. "What about alt farming?" The answer to this is simple. My answer is "who cares?" ATA wants you to play their game and hit stuff. Weather its an EB or your alt account is of little relevance. Also. Remember, YOU CANNOT BANK YOUR SNOWBALLS, so If you farm your alt and end up on the LB, you'll be a target unless you can stay in Pin forever lol. Anyhow, that's my idea. What do you think? Just a few things, I like the idea, but not everybody celebrates Christmas. They might get offended, but I don't care. Second: it should be gifts that drop from EB/PvP. Sounds better of it's a Christmas thing.
True. Not eveyone celebrates Christmas. It could be a "New Years" promo, or a "holidays" promo. As for it dropping gifts instead of snowballs, that's fine to me. At this point we are just discussing "packaging", which can take on lots of shapes. The concept is what I'm interested in. The window dressing can be anything really
TOTAL SUPPORT, DEVS PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN , YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME . We need something new like this to spruce back up the game.
That's troubleshooting that I'm looking for! I winder how we could surmount that issue. Any thoughts? My solution is that snowballs are fragile things, and failing on a person causes them to still lose them (although you wouldn't get any snowballs for fail attacks and fail steals)
Support. And what specific EB's? Snowballs should be dropped from smaller eb's as well so our low stat players can have some fun as well
Snowballs drop from all EBs. HTE does NOT pay extra snowballs.. This prize needs to be earned, nit purchased with seals
But then u can steal some1 n clean them out. Just like a strip farm for allies. Needs to b a limit to # or % of ur snowballs u can lose
I disagree with that if you don't want to lose your snowballs get some towers and pots love the idea moose actually brings back a PvP aspect majority of kaw wants.
Support. Adds some PvP into the game. Also satisfies EB fairies, but they can also be farmed :lol: Maybe having them occasionally drop from ebs as well? Lb would have to farm other LB, or people in range. Would be harder for them to gain "snowballs" if they can only get them from success. Unless they do PvEB, but that can be taken away :lol: Again support.

Don't think that will be necessary. Would make things chaotic and fun Maybe even if you have gold banked, you still can be attacked if you have snowballs and will get just snowballs?
If by rights ata is a Canadian based company, they do American based events. For example black Friday as including the hallween event last year. So they can do a Christmas hunt if they wanted to, also it would be a high demand and hopefully devs will listen this time around. @sledgehammer first page
Lb would have no advantage in a promo like this. Accounts that size start hitting each other is a recipe for osw, and a majority are allied. If anything, lb would be at disadvantage.
