Common misconception, mods can't see how many silences a player has, nor can we perm silence someone when we feel like it. We simply silence players, and by some chance it's their 3rd (plus) silence, then they get perm silenced.
Sethasaurusrex, anyone, even mods, can be silenced. Adding that JMods can be silenced isnt inventive in any way. Anyways, no support. If we need silences when a mod isnt on, we can use more mods, not a complicated Jmod.
No support. We have enough "KaW Police" as it is. Most mods are great mods and do a good job. But there will always be those who have their own agenda. The major problems with Jmods are their age. You can say "oh he is mature" all you want. It doesn't really hold much weight. The cerebral cortex isn't fully developed until you are in your mid 20's (24-25). (Source - my biology professor). You may be wondering, why does the cerebral cortex matter? The cerebral cortex is the decision making part of the brain. Mods make tons of decisions per day to decide appropriate punishment for certain offenses. I don't think it makes much sense to give power that requires decision making to players whose cerebral cortex isn't fully developed.
And you are a perfect example of why underage people shouldn't be given power No hard feelings just stating the truth.
Raise mod age to a hundred. Moose would be the only mod left. Just kidding Moose... Don't forum ban me bro!
Quite obvious your motives behind this This wouldn't work for the multitude of reasons mentioned in the other posts. Simply put, children lack the maturity and always will. Why they're not called adults. So yeah, no support toon.
No support, they could just get it and ruin the community and also they would timeout people because they dont understand the chat in wc or something
@thorn, MOST children lack the maturity to be mods. While there is a large majority that wouldn't make good mods, there is always a few that would make brilliant mods. Just like there are adults who wouldn't be good mods while others are able to do the job well. Someone might be more mature at say, 15 than another person will be at 18.
While i tend to agree most children are not mature enough to handle the job, i also believe most adults arent either.
