Propositions/Ideas for New Players: REVISED If you haven't read Rusted's propositions for new players thread yet, please do as this is a revised version of his with a couple of things added and revised. Rusted's first Proposition His spell idea of a Max Plunder spell is a really great idea. However, their are some things I thought should've been added to his idea. Basically new players at first when joining, have a 100% max plunder ally bonus spell as Rusted suggested. However, this would only last 48 hours(2 days). Why? Well because then they wouldn't learn about the importance of MP and when the spell is dropped, they'd be in the down in gold and would get frustrated. So a small percentage drop per 24-48 hours I believe is needed. It'll go as follows: 100% MP Ally bonus for 48 hours. Then it drops to 90% for 24 hours. Then it'll drop to 75% for another 24 hours. Then it drops to 50% for 24 hours. Then drops to 25% for the final 48 hours of the players first week. After the spell is lifted, they would receive a notice and link to the thread about What Max plunder is. In this way, they can fill in the percentage by buying allies and in turn always staying at or near Max Plunder. Rusted's second proposition Rusted had another swell idea by suggesting reducing price of buildings and lands on the LL. However, with a 25% drop in both, I don't see that happening(however good of an idea it is). So, I suggest a 15% drop in lands(lowland prices) and drop buildings prices by a solid 25%(as Rusted said). This would make it easier for buildings to be unlocked and new players to continue a decently fast growth throughout the lowlands. Devs were nice and dropped t5 prices half and t4 isn't much to get if you're in a clan that runs t4 and t5 ebs. Proposition 3 Something that's needed some add-ons to the tutorial. As most of you know the tutorial only covers maybe 20% of what's really needed to be used in KaW. So my suggestion is adding some things to the tutorial, as in when they hire an ally, let it EXPLAIN why you hire allies. So basically in tutorial you hire an ally, go hit someone, then it gets hired. I suggest do it like this: Hire an ally, hit someone, then your buddy who tells you stuff with the bad looking face tells you what allies are for, and a basic sentence or two about Max plunder/plunder bonus. Another thing is that it takes you to join a clan button, and it tells you about ebs and clans. As in the tutorial the only mention is at the end when kaw sends you a message about "join a clan..." They need to know more about why to join a clan. So implementing a reason to why they're important would be something nice. I've also recently done the tutorial while helping a friend start his new KaW account. I had to personally cover most of the stuff that should be told in the tutorial to new players. Support? Or nah? If you like these revised ideas and idea on a new tutorial, show your support! Also all new ideas are welcome. As I'll be posting an "Other ideas" section later on this thread. Thanks! #longlivekawsnewbies
Support. New players actually staying is how we as a community grow. The intro doesn't explain anything. It was relevant 5 years ago but it's outdated now. Explaining mp is difficult, and it's hard to understand at times. Full support
Just curious. Why are YOU emphasising so much on new players? Who wasn't a new players before? New players used to have NO bonuses before why do you want new players to play so badly?
Because the game has changed since we started playing. We had lots of clans that started smaller ebs and allies were plentiful.
This doesn't change any of that. Your just trying to bribe new players into playing. What happens when you bribe them finish? And all your suggestion are all temporary boosts that doesnt make it much fun-er for new players to play KaW. I'd prefer a more in-depth tutorial etc to really entice new players
Deserves a bump. I like the ideas. Nowadays there is a lack of small, cheap allies(as in 100-400m) that makes it much harder for new players. It takes a week or two to get 400m without sufficient allies, and most new players quit during that time period. We need to stop that lack of small allies too.
Sorry, i cant support. This game is about dedication and time. It takes awhile to learn this game, I'm still learning new things all the time. Thats why it was designed this way, (I think), so that u stay small for awhile to keep you relatively safe while you learn the basics.
