This is on a good track but I think it's somewhat flawed. I always understood war crystals to be an option for players who were unwilling or unable to purchase regular crystals. Thus, it would break down one barrier to entry for wars and encourage higher participation. If the only eq that can be stripped is mith eq than this defeats the purpose imo because you would have to war in order to get the original eq therefore these individuals likely have no reason not to buy regular crystals. I would suggest revising the idea to apply to all equipment and base the extra table fragment amount based on difficulty to acquire. So for the hairy legs (yeah, I don't know the name and don't care) it may extract one fragment, whereas the promo eq and old mith gear extract a large amount of fragments. Once a player breaks down a piece if gear, they could the go and acquire it again in an eb. This would allow players who are unwilling or unable a steady stream of war crystals in order to participate in wars and for old players with lots of useless gear, a useful way to recycle unwanted and unneeded items. Just my ️ cents
I was thinking of that as well but you would have people just farming equip EBS all the time and devs would def say no bc they would lose ALOT more money
Yes. But it offers ppl willing to work for it a chance to participate in wars without a monetary investment. The trade off is their time investment. So devs would need to set the right amount of fragments needed to make a war crystal where it's worth it for ppl unwilling to spend but not worth it to those willing to spend. Trust me, as someone who spends money on this game, I wouldn't farm 10-20 ebs for what cost me $1. However I'm sure to other players this would be worth the 1-2 war crystals per week they could obtain in order to participate. Extra bonus is that it may get clans doing old eq ebs which helps those just starting in war come in somewhat better prepared - at least from an eq perspective.
Lastly, it's my observation that the amount of revenue generated from wars is pittance. We have maybe 10-12 clans warring times 20 ppl roster times $1. That's only about $200-240 per war time. The bulk of money made is from regular xstalls used outside of war in order to generate wealth rapidly.
IMO, the best set up for war crystals is a set amount per week that don't carry over - enough for a war or two, but nothing extensive.
So I don't exactly agree with the having it fully enchanted, what if instead it charged inferno or aqua to strip the item into fragments, no wasting time and resources on fails to max a piece of equipment that you'd never use
At first I thought this was brilliant until i realized that ur taking war equip that u get with xtals... And mith. And ur breaking down the mith into more xtals. This is a really dumb idea... It takes many people over 10 wars to max a piece of equip. This include losses and wars where u don't get as much Mithril. I'm sorry op I respect the effort but no support at all
Also the war crystal idea is supposed to be for people who can't war because they don't have crystals. This is the exact opposite. And the smithing was for eb equip. So 2 birds just got mixed up and knocked further up in the air by a rock. No knocked down
