My Idea: The KaW Trade System I know that this idea has been told before, I just plan on going a bit more in depth. Table of Contents I. Summary of the Idea II. Rules III. Advantages IV. Possible Disadvantages V. Location/Looks A Summary As you know, all pots are bought from the market place and are there permanently. Well, my idea is simple. Have players be able to trade pots for gold, or even mithril. Make the pots and mithril open for sale from the marketplace only periodically and for a limited time, like mithril used to be. The price of each would be based upon the average price that they are going for between players. However, when the market closes, the pots can only be bought from other players. Ok, so that is part one of the idea. The second is to make pots able to be traded between players. They can be traded for other pots, mithril, or gold. There would be a cap on the amount of pots, mithril, and gold able to be traded per day. Also, it must always be a trade, meaning that one player cannot give another something valuable for cheap things or nothing. Along with the rule that it must be a trade, the exchange must be near similar values in order for it to be able to go through. The object(s) being traded between players must be within a value difference of 50 billion or less. Only one trade between the same two players can be made per week. (Number can change) Phew, we made it through the long part. So basically, KaW potion prices will be determined by the market. Yes, a true marketplace will be created in KaW. The final piece of the idea is to add an interface to the marketplace that would show recent trades. This idea will give KaWers a new way to make gold, if they can work the "system" to their advantage, and will give KaW a totally new aspect of the game. Rules/Regulations So, most of you are probably thinking that this 'system' can easily be abused. Some rules and regulations would need to be put in place. A few were named above, but they will be explained again and others will be given. These will make it much more difficult for the system to be abused. Some of these rules will have explanations, while others are more straight forward and self-explanatory and do not need one. 1. There is a cap on the value of items being traded by a single player per day. The cap, to be determined by the devs, (though I suggest somewhere in the range of 120-150b) would work in conjunction with a cap of trade value difference, and amount of trades done daily to prevent several players giving money to one player, or one player giving another free or cheap stuff. 2. Gold can only be given for pots/mithril, not gold. 3. Pots/Mithril cannot be sold back to the marketplace, only bought. This works with rule two to prevent one player from giving another a large amount of gold. If pots/mithril were able to be liquidated, rule two would be easily bypassed and relatively useless. 3. A player can only do a maximum of 5 transactions per every 4 days. This way players will not be able to give others a valuable amount of pots through unlimited, mini trades. 4. The trade value difference within a single trade cannot exceed 50 billion. This number can be determined by the devs. This is simply a suggestion of mine. 5. Only one trade can be made between the same two players per week. 6. Buying/Selling of pots in WC will follow the same rule as the clan ad spam rule, but will contain different numbers.Only three ads per every five minutes, also can be replaced/changed by devs as they wish. 7. There is no limit to the value being traded, as long as the trade value difference is below the maximum. These are all of the rules that I could think of. Have more? Post them! Any idea helps. Advantages So, what is so good about this update? Why should the devs use their time to create it? Well, it's adding something completely new and different to the game. A market for pots is being created. This market gives players an entire new thing to learn. If they choose to try and profit through buying/selling of pots, they will be teaching themselves how to work and potentially manipulate a market to your advantage. Ring a bell? Stocks. Yes, this is pretty much a stock market. Buying and selling pots to profit and learn. Taking advantage of new updates, while potentially going broke on the way. I believe this will be fun, new, and give us something to gage our interest. Plus, this update isn't a money-hungry one. It doesn't involve using real life money to beat others. You don't have to buy a seal or buy nobility points in order to make money through the market. In case you all haven't noticed, most of us hate updates that basically mean that whoever pays the most wins. Well, this isn't that. Disadvantages Though this update will be great, bad things might be caused. My biggest worry is that someone will find a loophole or a flaw to be able to abuse this. I've tried making rules to prevent a situation like this, but anything can happen. Also, it might be hard for beginners to understand. I assume that people would race to make guides on how to 'manipulate the system' and how to make money off buying/selling pots, but beginners already get confused on how to hit an EB. I'd hope that they would check guides on this, but I can't force them to. I try not to dwell on the disadvantages of this. Cause I think it would be a great update. Location/Looks So as of now, this is what the marketplace page looks like. (On iPhone) For the sake of this, let's pretend I have the Mage unlocked. Now, here is what I imagine the new marketplace would look like. Oh, and I'm no Picasso so bare with me. As you can see, there is a tab for recent trades. This would bring up an interface that shows a list of what trades have happened lately. Also, the average buy/sell price will change daily. The buy option is still there however, the ability to buy pots from the marketplace will only happen periodically for a limited time. That could be determined by the devs as well. Well, there we have my idea. TL;DR version: Read the damn thread. It's an interesting idea and this thread has effort, so no excuses. Leave support and other ideas/rules to add on!
Support... This is well thought out and a great idea Just one question though... If pots are only available periodically how do ppl restock for war.... This would mean that they would have to search for a lot of different players to buy from since it's limited to one trade with the same player per week Or is it that players can also buy pots from the other withoutl mutual consent... If so I smell a new way of stripping lol
The trade would need robe mutual consent, and they'd just have to be smart with their trades And Ace is newb.
This update seems anti-pvp IMO. You can only get pots at certain times. That would make it difficult for players who want to PvP. I would support, maybe, if there was a "dollar pot." For example, our dollar only has value because we give it value. So this "dollar pot" would work like a dollar. It may not do anything, but it has a good trade value.
hi shadow i remember you done alliance thread.i found this really old alliance thread I'm not sure where it is to bump it. but heres the link viewtopic.php?f=7&t=774&p=586460
Like you said people might think it is complicated. No point at all in trading pots and mith and such. The only reason to would be to give money. And that would be unfair to a lot of people.
