I love the fact that clans can have admins, it adds a certain comfort to me knowing that I'm in a clan that is moderated. However, this is very limited. I want to see more ranks in clans, and more owner customization of these ranks. Owners of clans should be able to make ranks, name them what they want, and assign permissions to those ranks however they see fit. For example: Rank name: EB Admin Permissions: Forfeit Epic Battle, start Epic Battle Rank Name l: Crowd Control Admin Permissions: Kick player, Accept applicant, temp gag player (a new function I would like to see that temporarily disallows talking in clan chat) Rank Name: God Permissions: All Etc. I would love to see some sort of system like this implemented in to the game. I like the idea of having customization with ranks and permissions. Support?
@Hockey that was just an example, and the rank names would be completely customizable. You could change it to chicken nugget if you wanted.
@JustDoIt anything the owner makes regular admins do, the owner gets full customization on rank permissions
If you can't trust your admin with all the privileges currently encompassed with the admin position, they should not be admin.
@toxic I feel like it was pretty obvious, EB standing for epic battle. God would imply that they are absolute rulers, or at the top of administration in a clan. Etc.
Op, I was saying the only name that with went the rank was eb admin, and god. Really? No admin has ultimate power. Only the owner does.
@Shadow I don't intend for the potential of this adding to KaW to be something about lack of trust. If you would have cared to read about it, you would understand that I posted this because I wanted to see customization. I have not been the owner of a clan for more than 2 minutes simply because the clan was inactive, or I didn't want to be there. I just like the idea of a little bit of customization.
@toxic there are some clans that have certain ranks, that if this were possible, they would have all permissions. Like co-owners for example. They would has all permissions. If I were to make a clan, I would do ranks like this: Owner Perms: All Co-Owner Perms: All Council Member Perms: Temp gag, ban member (yet another command I want to see implemented that disallows a user to apply to the clan ever again unless removed from ban list), edit ban list, start epic battle, forfeit epic battle, set rank EB admin, set rank crowd control admin, set rank head admin, accept applicant, kick member, set clan announcement Head Admin Perms: ban member, start EB, forfeit EB, accept applicant, kick member, set clan announcement Admin Perms: start EB, forfeit EB, accept applicant, kick member, set clan announcement ^ in this situation, you could be able to set it up that Admins could not target Head Admins ^ EB Admin: start EB, forfeit EB Operator: accept applicant, kick member, temp gag
:| So you want fancy names for simple tasks? If only we had an ability to give each member their own distinct title? Oh wait. (-./)
@Shadow Again, pay attention and read a little. This is designed so that clans can have more customization with administrative responsibilities. Maybe owners want people to do certain tasks, or only cover certain things. Also, emoji spam is against the rules.
Why does Jesus not take the wheel? Owners have certain visions for their clans, and this includes ranks. Again, read my previous reply to toxic. That is my envision for a clan, to have some sort of system like that. I want certain members to fulfill certain tasks that I trust them with. I want people to do what I want, how I want. I want certain people only doing certain things. Read my post again, then give me your reevaluated feedback.
My opinion is not changed. The only reason you would ever need to diversify powers is if you didn't trust your admins. The owner should have the ability to discern who is capable of being an admin from those who are not. The owners who don't take the time to investigate pay the consequences. The system is fine as is. It is condensed without being restrictive, and it allows for maximum efficiency across the board. If you want customization in your clan, there are other, more interactive ways to do so. Simply splitting up admin duties would be utterly pointless and a waste of time when there are far more pressing issues at hand. But please, go ahead and tell me to read your post again. Each time I do so I realize how awful this idea is.
