  5. this update ruins the game. The devs tried to narrow the gap but made it even bigger.

  11. First pinky u have never been 16 mill cs tell a better lie... Next Kaw adm when can we expect war changes? Like u fixing the jacked up system? I know y'all busy with banner things and feathers and lowering cost unfairly but could u make time to fix wars in a war game?? Station has have u a year and a half worth of fixes u just chose to ignore

  12. Thing is. Is when they try to fix the war system. What they would have to do would be unexploitable and that isn't something that can be thought of overnight. Secondly, they do try to distract us from the thought with promos so they have time to think/develop a method. My thought is, is they have something in mind, or plan on it soon.

  13. I don't have any love for the Devs. But they are a business first and foremost. They always look for the bottom line. Hard cash must keep flowing toward them. I play the game what ever Devs updated. I play the game my way and so any others. Slow growth no big deal. As long I grow slowly and my clan with minimum amount to spend. That way I don't need to think too much about wasted time only the fun of the game. Just slow down growth of your enemies while they spend their milk money 

  14. I spent 2.8T on April 28 upgrading. Devs don't understand how stupid their system is.

  15. Devs just keep dropping free seals to our clan. I know you love us crazy noobs

  16. I would like to say congratulations to the devs on the biggest strip in kaw history taking trills from most of the players here in a matter of seconds!! There has been a lot of stripped players in kaw but this is by far the biggest and the best part about it was most of us were online at the time. Very impressive 

  17. I don’t think that veteran KAW observers were surprised by the T6 L4 and L5 update, or by the timing of the update. The cost for building upgrades and the commensurate stat increases seem reasonable, offering the upgrade before S4 is consistent with past practices.

So I was saying to myself last night, great, I will buy some xtals, I should be able to earn a few trillion before S4 begins, I will be able to tweak my build for S4 EE wars without having to tear anything down. All seems right in Kawland.

Then I saw the news about the devaluation of the HL buildings. I asked myself, well, what are you really investing in, when you invest in xtals to grow your kingdom?

And so, I have not made the planned purchase of xtals to earn gold for HF upgrades, because it now seems like a rather poor investment. It is sort of like investing in real estate, knowing that the value will go down.

Since the days that HLBC was the Holy Grail of KAW, income has roughly tripled (HTE is 3x Haunt) and now the cost has been halved as well. So the effort required for HLBC is now 1/6th, or 20%, of what it was when so many of us went through the HLBC ritual. In simple terms, what took 12 months before now only takes 2 months.

KAW is a microcosm of an economy. Inflation in KAW is astronomical as relates to allies, only exceeded by the inflation rate in Zimbabwe in 2008. Income and gold supply is growing dramatically. But the price of land and buildings is (or was until yesterday) fixed. Even without reducing the price of HL buildings, their actual value, in real economic terms, decreases as the gold supply increases. If income is increased by a factor of 3, there is a corresponding decline, in real terms, in the cost of the buildings. Even without the devaluation of HL buildings, HLBC takes much less time now than it used to. But inflation in KAW is okay, indeed understandable, and impacts all players across the board, in a consistent manner.

However, arbitrary devaluations of building values impact players disproportionately and skew the Kaweconomy. This is how communist economies used to work, and we all know how that turned out.

We all want KAW to prosper. If I read the feather hunting statistics correctly, there are only about 60,000 active KAW players at the moment. Retaining new players by making their early experiences in KAW livelier and by ensuring that they do not feel as though getting ahead in KAW is hopeless, few would argue with this. But how best to achieve this?

What I respectfully suggest is that there are better, systemic ways to achieve the goals of KAW, including accessibility to the game for new players, than to arbitrarily disenfranchise and punish those who have supported and financed the Kawmunity over the past several years. This move was unfair to a certain group of players and created a negative incentive for investing time and money into the game. Why should I invest in real estate, knowing that in time the value will go down?

KAW should be moving in the direction of a virtual free market economy, rather than adopting communist era command and control tactics. The more that KAW is self-regulated (i.e. subject to the invisible hand of the market rather than being subject to the arbitrary and sometime capricious hand of the Apes), the more attractive and trustworthy the Kaworld shall be. The fundamental structure and growth of the Kaworld should be managed with algorithms, not with the implementation of unpredictable and random modifications here and there.

There must certainly be enough creative minds at ATA to take a more sophisticated and systemic look at the future of KAW, rather than just adopting simplistic and I fear shortsighted steps.

  18. refund for builds from 1 May? what's that? hmm 0.001% of players? non-sense bs...

  19. Support inferno on pg49 too. Well said.

  20. Figured there would be droves of whining lol 
