No support quests already drop them. If you don't like it then go buy your xtals. Ebs already give out enough stuff.
Stewi3 - says the one with 891 quests completed, barely getting the achievement. I support this, obviously, because it's free, but the devs probably won't want to do this, as it'll cut profits slightly.
Phoenix, I have not done a quest in months. Like many others, on the odd occasion we do, we quest for xtals. This thread is to say that quests are a dying art, and the drop rate is awful so implement a fairer way to receive xtals. I do agree with you though. The devs probably won't do this as they need to keep the cashlow going.
As an added note I would like to see a way for more random job drops as well. Since it is something you need more than one of to get something I would think there could be a way to add nob's into drops without cutting into ata profits much.
No support. There are two paid aspects to this game: xtals and seals. This is how the devs make money. If that is taken away why would they continue? Does anyone ELSE volunteer their time at work? This is a business. Also how much cheaper should xtals be? They are $1 ah pop and less when bought in bulk.
Support. I've played many freemium games over the years (and yes KaW is a freemium game). While KaW was the first freemium game I played it is to date the only freemium I play that doesn't give away freemium items on a weekly basis (or at least an opportunity of getting freemium content through mystery boxes or prize wheels). At one point an individual could just constantly reset and do quests over and over again....however with the inclusion of equipment resetting has really become a moot option. OP isn't saying crystals should drop every eb they are simply suggesting adding the opportunity to drop during ebs and really if devs made a crystal drop in an eb the same as getting a crystal drop completing a quest what's the harm?
Support. As far as people saying deva need money to. They drops seals and horns that cost in market place. Aqua also cost in mage. Weather you are paying in nobs or Xstals you more than likely spent real money.. I say let the crystal dropping begin.
Yes this is a freemium app. Like many freemium apps it uses in-app product sales for revenues. You notice how it used to be that you could reset and start over again on quests and now you can't? I play other freemiums that do their purchase products very similar to kaw. Clash of clans for example. If you have quests that drop nobs which is just as good as xtals AND you drop xtals just as frequently you effectively double free xtals and cutting revenue. If you intend to replace one with the other with the exact same drop rate then why bother?
Ok Damascus I get what you're saying but let's be honest here how many nobs and crystals have you gotten from quest mining? I've done well over 4 k on this account and probably another 5 K on my other account I've gotten maybe 15 nobs combined between the two accounts and one crystal. I'm not going to argue that the devs need to make money that's the point of creating the game on their end.....never played Clash of Clans but I do play another war game that not only gives a daily reward of resources/or rubies (the games version of crystals) but also gives daily deals on buying the premium currency. I'm not saying the Devs are greedy but when their own reward system for this current event only gives you 1 seal of the damned, 1 horn and 1 crystal no matter what tier your in I think it's time to reevaluate the priorities. Just based off of basic math the Devs made at least $1400 dollars off of the two clans I'm a member if with this last promo, I figure the overall number will fall right around $10 - $15K. You can't tell me that giving 1 - 2 crystals on some ebs every now and than is going to break the bank.
I imagine the nobs and xtals are very rare so I certainly don't doubt your claims, bomb. I am saying that there is nothing wrong with it that. Xtals is the paid portion of this game. Its how the devs make revenue. Why should they give us xtals for free at all? As for your example of games where products are sold or given away I am sure you and I could go on for a while but the point is moot. There is no way for you and I to assess whether more apps do it this way or that just by our personal experienced and it really doesn't matter anyway. The devs will do what they feel is in the best interest of their business. They have no reason to cut into their prophets and give us anything for free.
