This thread isn't going anywhere. If everyone got a free xtal it wouldnt mean much, and you say its good for new players but new players have quests which are easily completed for xtal rewards
And @moose it doesn't cost devs a dollar to give away an xtal lol.. many players that received that free xtal never plan to buy one
antonio is abs right the mqin reason people try to make more and more alts is bc they want to have troops more frequently available. Keep in mind that, more alts doesnt mean they will buy more xtals. To moose? how did u come up with that cost?? it costs devs nothing to fill up ur acc with 1 xtal / week. Howcome u saying devs should give you $1 a day to keep u play. Its free for the load your acc with all sort of rewards they made in this game. Plus I said what I'm suggesting now, is being done almost in all games. They majority of them have some sort of daily/weekly/monthly rewards. Cause its free for them.
Well radioactive even if u dont like a free weekly xtal and rich enough to buy your own everyday still there are many people who will be happy with that reward. Now some people are trying to readjust my suggestion and saying inferno would be better I support that too.
Yah login rewards would be cool. Many games do that and in fact it helps promote in-game purchases. Give players a taste and they'll want a meal
Cyrus, you seem like a nice kid, so I won't hold your "Xtals are free" philosophy against you. Xtals, however, are not free. What goes Into making an xtal? Well.....lets see. There are brick and mortar costs. ATA has to he run out of a building, and that's not cheap. Then, there are server costs. It costs real cash to keep this app up and running electronicly. Next, ATA needs to hire a support staff to take care of customer service issues. These people need to make a living wage, and are essential to keeping this app running well. Next, we have programmers. The programmers for KaW need to be proficient in multiple programming languages, being as they are putting the game into numerous platforms. Good programmers cost money. Then, we have the fees that apple charges. Not sure what those are exactly, but I know they aren't cheap. So, how is all this payed for? The answer is Xtals! Xtals and nobs. That's it. As you can hopefully see, it takes time and money to run this app, and even though the xtal is just a data bit in an iPhone, it takes a lot to get that data bit up and running, which is why I have no support for just giving them away. Also, if, according to your philosophy, Xtals should be free because they cost nothing, then all the music in the iTunes Store should be free too, because its just data bits and is "free". Offering free Xtals to the community is a non sequitur.
cynder: we get a taste for the Xtals when we start the game and complete our quests. That gives people a "taste". Repeated tastes are not needed.
ONE free xtal a week for ACTIVE players seems reasonable.. I don't see how anyone, especially Moose, can disagree with this. A lot of games give small rewards to their active and loyal players. It's a way to say thank you and we appreciate you.. Not "OMG. PLEASE PLAY MY GAME!" >_<
I disagree with it because a good game should stand on its own, and the devs show appreciation to their loyal active customers through community events, like feather hunting.
Hmm. I'd say a straight month of activity (2000k or so att a month) at least. Or else cheapskates would stop paying for xtals all together and just wait for their free xtal
for kaw as one of the top grossing apps one xtal in a week is nothing. This app is making way more than selling 1 or two xtals a week and grossing way way more than that through new ebs, equips like this receny equip (feather) and selling seals, nobs, packages etc. Many smaller games provide great login reward and i dont see why a game like kaw cant make the players a bit happy with login rewards. And we are not asking much. Only 1xtal a week for players who are on this game 24/7.
