Weekend War Changes

  1. Due to the fact that many players are unable to devote a full 2 hours to the weekend wars, and to increase participation during these times we've decided to change the weekend wars #11, #12, #13, #14, #15, and #16 to be 1 Hour in duration instead of the 2 Hours they have been during previous weeks.

    This change will remain in effect for the duration of the season.

    Here is the new weekend schedule

  11. Going shorter really saddens me.
    Making 'wars' longer, like very long (48 ) would be nice. Everybody sleeps, some incoming is not fatal, can wurk hit from work/school and not sink the clan.
    Overall activity would be the focus, old school wars were great but outside interference made things unfair. That problem is nigh now so what's the big problem?

  14. In the 45 pages on the official no match thread, how many people were complaining about not being able to find enough time to do 2 hour wars?  Somebody? Anybody?

    This fixes nothing.

  16. I think issue with weekend wars were more about how close they were together hard to get everyone cast and signed in 30 minutes
     
  17. I agree with the time changes in general; although it would be kind of cool to have random war lengths. Reducing the war rosters down to between 11 to 13 would mean more of these EE clans would have to split up. This would create more competition. Have you noticed that outside a small number of clan, rancor levels basically stink? My two cents.
     
  18. 2h wars were the last venue hansel and spy builds could truly shine in. Now all wars are Zerg plunder feats.

    Kudos for pushing out spy builds from system wars even more. Keep catering to ADHD prepubescents who refill their prepaid cards at the gas station whom can't be bothered to do anything for longer than 15 seconds.
     
  19. True to a point, Station, but the main complaint about wars has been and always will be the poor matchups. People simply don't want to put the time and energy into prepping for a war, whether it's 1 hour or 2 hour, only to draw a no match time and time again.

    The ways the matchups are being made is what needs to be addressed. That, and to arrange war times to help out people who live in Asia and Australia. I know a friend of mine who loves to war, but as she's from Down Under, it's a challenge to find a time that she can participate. So she and countless others are left out.

    Fix those two things, and EE participation will increase far more than simply cutting the war times from 2 hours to 1 and calling it a day.
