No what happens is you get to big for eb. You have to do bigger ebs to see the plunder Increase you see the difference once you get to lvl 2 upgrading to lvl 3.

When you attack anything you lose alot of soldiers.... Is there a way to lower the amount of soldiers lost with each attack?

No there is isn't as you upgrade you Los emote and more troops cause you have more
