Long time player - first time forum post! Week 2 - 20 clans signed up for war 15 and only 6 matched. Shrinking rosters is not the answer (as proposed for week 3) - and 4 wars in already its proving to be just as bad. Devs - please consider the following: - Make the war season/matches a round robin tournament. - Every clan who wants in for the week must sign up by X time on Sunday for the coming week. - All clans that sign up for the week are guaranteed a match for every war. You still need to cast a roster and sign up each war - however, if you cannot field a roster for any given war time - then its a forfeit - and your opponent is given a win. Winner payout equals TVP myth and Rancor - EE would be at current level but extended (all those with zero EE would be given level 1). Forfeiting clan receives nothing. -All matches would be random for the week - Scenario 1: Wars would be published 1 thru 16 on Monday morning GMT. This way every clan can see who their fighting during the week and plan their rosters accordingly. (Brief NCAA sports analogy - sometimes you'll get Duke and sometimes you'll get Central Illinois). But, you'll always have a WAR. - Scenario 2: War match not known until 2 hours out, like the current system - only difference is every war during the week will be a different clan - providing enough sign up - if not, then the rotation starts over - bottom line is every clan is guaranteed a match. - Scenario 3: Random match up WAR 1 and then winners play winners and losers play losers for each following war - throughout the balance of the week. Bottom line is - LET US WAR. No hit ratio, no BFE/BFA calc - put your best team on the field and play. The problem is when you're matched time and time again against a powerhouse clan - it gets old and seemingly not worth the effort. Mix it up by stacking the weekly match ups in advance and every clan will have tough wars and maybe some easier wars - but it's WAR - and the extreme time and effort (and dollars) put in by wc/trackers and clan mates is not wasted for a no match. This is a conceptual idea - put here to create conversation amongst players and Devs. Let's all work together to dumb down the matching algorithm - sometimes less is more.
Basically a shuffling of the teams (clans) in a tournament (war schedule) - so you play against a different team (clan) each game (war).
If clans dont want no matches maybe they shouldnt try to manipulate inherent defects in the plunder system by roster stacking with lb/sh. Take more balanced roster into the matchup process to get more matches.... against a stacked clan that buries you for having mids on roster lol. Shutdown ee until problem is fixed, death to all sh!!!
Has ata not realized the amount of failure and stacking season 3 is having there is about 20 clans or a bit more signing up for war and out of those clans at least 6 or 8 match.
Chuck/Turtle - the idea here is "who cares how any clan stacks" this proposal could give you ZAFT and an RH during the week (respect to there power and strategies) - but it will also provide you wars against a more balanced clan stack - and new or mid level clans. The key is the system of mixing up opponents w/out multi war weekly repeats.
I can understand the part about strategy but it's one Thing to organize and master a roster and it's another thing to ruin the fun of ee wars. Nowadays if your roster doesn't have at least 8-14 sos hansel it's a defeat. These ee wars now have two common builds a tank or an sos hansel there is no room for any other build. Any other build that wants to war has to join some clan that's making signup last minute for a one-time war only. This takes the fun out of we wars because you either have to be a sh or a tank. What did the Gh nerf do? Nothing Gh just went sh and back to same story. rant over
TURTLE - agreed, that's why this proposal allows for all clans, with all build types to war and get a match. Sometimes you're going to fight an lb/gh/sh clan (but never the same one in a given week) and other times you'll get random multi build clans. If the threat of facing the gh/sh stack goes away but for, maybe one or two wars a week - clans will be freed up to build a more balanced roster - that includes all the build combos KaW has to offer.
Would be much better to fix the stack issue created by plunder system flaws if they want people to invest both rl money and in game gold to participate. A round robin week against likely opponents that are stacked just to get maybe 1 match that is not a stacked one is not a solution. Devs need to fix plunder problem, scout pot issue and ally hire after roster lock issue if they truely want to level the playing field and get all of kaw active in ee
This is a great idea It's called a 'Season' but it doesn't resemble any definition of season I know of. As long as players are LOCKED into one clan or can only war from one clan (allowing travel and visits) its a good idea. Divisions should be made to have min/max Average Combined Stats. I hope this has legs.
I like the positive energy you're bringing here. Coming with a proposal, rather than complaining. Kudos to you, OP!
Forcing matches what ever the hit ratios is an interesting idea. The sh/gh issue would somewhat go away by default you'd have to field the best possible roster what ever the stats. The idea originally behind EE was for clans to work together and have fun as a clan. Now it seems to be a semi exclusive club with some very strict requirements .
