I spent a lot of times in the forums over the last year, though I've only started posting recently. OSW can often be boring during non peak hours so it gave me something to do during regen. One thing I noticed was a lot of threads that pop up such as who's the best player, who's the best clan etc. The thought has often occurred to me. Why don't we have a KaW Hall of Fame? The example I have in mind is Wulf's outstanding Epic Battles (PvE) ♔ <<Spoiler Alert - Fair Warning>> thread. There could be two sections. One for overall leader board and one for clans. The thread could start from the beginning up to the current date. The leader board section entry could have the player's name. The span they held the title, and perhaps a brief outline of their history on KaW, such as what clans they belonged to. The clan section might be a bit harder. Pwar's and B2B EB's resulted in some clans holding the number one spot, but most of the members probably were visitors. So there were a lot more #1 clans than #1 players. We could figure out a way to filter those out if we desired to. The point is, we play here, it's our game. Why aren't we preserving it's history? As an incentive I submit whoever created such a thread would themselves become a part of KaW history. People would always be reading YOUR thread. Now I know some of you are thinking. Why don't YOU do it chAir? It's your idea. Two reasons. I'm famous in ZD for being lazy. And I'm not good enough to do it properly. The extent of my forum skills consists of quoting and posting pics. Anyway, I'd thought I'd throw this out for discussion. I'd appreciate a civil conversation about the idea. Those that are interested are welcome to discuss and coordinate the project here, if they desire. That way we don't have different Hall of Fame threads going. The idea is to create 1 and make it a sticky.Those of you who know me from my other thread know I don't tolerate trolls. They can start their own Hall of Fame if they want.
Domo, I'm not here to spar with you. I think this would be a good project. If you want to stay and help develop it, you're welcome to. If you want to troll please go somewhere else or start your own thread. If you continue to troll here I will ask a mod to ban you from the thread. You know I will. I'm being polite to you. Don't push me.
It'd be whoever led the leader board. It's not always the same. If we wanted to create separate categories such as most wins or most valuable we could. We're only be restricted by how much effort we want to put into it.
It wouldn't die if it were made a sticky. And I'm not aware of one being done before. Could you post the link and I'll look it over.
