idea: bronze bars as tradable stock

  1. Too easy to exploit and it would favour the rich builds giving them further control of a game commodity.
Yes we understand the concept it's simple.
But this isn't the game for it. IMO. And the exploits outweigh any plus possible.

  2. Yes this is a mad idea

  3. The rich couldn't exploit this...

  4. Well I think I could quite easily and I'm certainly not a rich account.
And with stock shares there's only a certain amount if stock available or it becomes worthless and pointless.
So introducing another system similar to ally trading where yes the richer accounts dominate and control market prices of allies would be useful in your opinion?
Sorry but just as we can over inflate the ally market earning more trading than hitting anything in the game so this could be used.
And if you want a stock market game. Why not download one. This is kingdoms at war allegedly. Not kingdoms at stock market.
I'm also sure most players would rather see development time being better utilised than adding a further element that isn't needed
But that's just my opinion. So I'm off thread now. 

  5. From the development and 'features' I've seen over the last 12-18 months, devs would do better just stepping away from the keyboard. 

  6. Pretty much what dark said, there are already pretty major flaws in the existing game which adding something that lets face it there'd be an abuse in there somewhere to start an if any large group notice we'd have a new ally lb overnight sorry just no.

  7. Regardless of the direction of the game, what devs could focus on, the fact that Moose suggested this many months ago....

    It's an AWESOME idea.

The fact that a rich player can buy 1,000,000,000,000 bronze bars is irrelevant. The stock market in general could yield massive losses to someone who didn't pay attention to it. Especially someone who didn't have market savvy, and dumped trillions in bars thinking they were saving by selling.

Moose had ideas beyond this. The "KAW Stock Exchange" would be a total game-within-a-game. You can't create an app for stock trading...it's incredibly boring.

But in an app like this, you could.

    • Have bronze, silver, copper, iron, etc. - different elements of trade

    • Have each carry a certain worth, and that worth be ever changing according to sale, current amount owned...etc. much like the real market.

This theory that huge clans and family's can effect the market? YEA, yea they can. Much like major corporations. That's the beauty of this idea. It would be something they can purposefully change..that could backfire.

    It would be amazing.

    Full support.

  8. SUPPORT

  9. Op, I'm completely within my rights to continue posting. I'm on topic, and giving relevant arguments. The idea isn't going to be implemented if it's too hard to implement is it? Take into account any difficulties. Wether or not it's a good idea is irrelevant if it can't be included into the game.

Now, What about the fact that there's an unlimited supply? Isn't the whole purpose of the price going up that they become rarer? You'd need to limit stock, which means that any rich player could buy trillions worth and make the price go up, meaning yes, the rich would take advantage.

  10. @Dash, actually you would lose a lot if you banked everything in it and it crashed. Let's say they don't refund, and the idea is implemented. A huge OSW starts in your clan and you're a bank. You go to unbank your bars and WHOOPS. Gold you have been banking for years is now worth less than half, meaning you can't strip your target. Frustration for all involved, and the guys doing the strip won't be buying xtals they would have used to run bars. Suddenly, the developers are losing money. Without the refund the idea fails.

  11. Way to steal moose's idea

  12. People, op probably hasn't read moose's thread. Regardless, this thread is active, moose's is dead. Maybe we can contribute to this thread and work on the idea further than the players who posted on moose's. The number of repeated threads I've read over the years is ridiculous, but doesn't mean they all weren't worth reading.

  13. Bronze bars being.... Useless? That is an untouchable bank that cannot be robbed. Yes, a slight tax is implemented, but I have a few billion stored up in there for strips or if I convert my build. The idea is ok, but like mentioned LB players could lose hundreds of billions to trillions in gold.

  14. we all ready got allies for this

  15. I agree with willie
