Bronze bars are essentially useless, unless you count the recent banner update, where you need a few billion in bb to upgrade your banner. My idea is this: just like an actual stock, the price of bronze bars goes up the more people buy, and down when people start to sell. I believe this would help to close the insane gap between new players and HFBC players as well as provide a new risky money making feature to the game. If this feature were added, I believe that the tax when you sell items should be removed from bronze bars, obviously because if the stock price goes up 20% after you buy, you still wouldn't make a profit by selling. So it would be the only tax-exempt item in the game that you can buy and sell, but it works because the stock is also able to lower in price drastically. It's a double edged bronze sword. Thoughts?
Then people with trillions banked in BB would lose everything the second it dropped. Large alliances would coordinate to sell everything in BB at once, meaning the price goes down, and they rebuy at a huge gain.
Obviously there would be a refund before the change to the item would be made... How else would they set up a starting price?
I feel like you don't understand the idea. Simply having a lot of money doesn't make you a good stock trader.
Well then they'd have to do a full refund of all bb across a million accounts. How exactly so you think that will happen? It took multiple hours for fang eq, and then hLf the players or more weren't active in it. Imagine refunding hundreds of trillions of gold in bronze. Then there's the "WHAT I HAD WAY MORE THAN THIS DEVS WHY THE HELL AM I SO POOR BOYCOTT AND ZERO STARS!"
You're arguing semantics, not the idea itself. Don't continue posting on this thread unless you have criticisms about the actual idea, not how it would or would not be implemented.
Dash good point. If a huge alliance, say ZAFT, wanted to destroy the stock market, they can't force people to sell their shares. You could just wait until the price went back up.
Yeh just taking the piss mate ....moose done a pretty big forum about it a while back buddy but think it was involving mith but same princibles and av seen it suggested a couple of times since. Its a great idea but its true it can be manipulated so probably not likely to happen.
This. He proposed the idea about a couple years ago when BB first came out. I'm sure he already proposed this idea to the devs. If it hasn't happened by now, IDK if the devs will do it.
The devs haven't been able to run decent EE for three seasons. You're giving them way to much credit if you think they could implement a commodities exchange that wouldn't completely screw everyone over. Don't hate the idea, but it will never happen.
