Firefly, still waiting for the end of season 1.
Deadpool, still waiting for the promised movie.
ASOIAF had a 6 year gap between book 4 and book 5, the TV show has a few months gap.

Don't complain about waiting until March when I still don't know how Sherlock survived.
If you want to know what happens next, educate yourself, read the books.
