New War System (Maybe)

  1. Now this is just my thought on the war issues that have come up I am no programmer/IT guy, just someone with and idea of what might be a better way to have wars that allow all that sign up to be able to war. This could in theory eliminate the no matches possibly forever.

    1. People who want to war cast wave of conflict.
    2. Instead of finding guilds who war the devs have one large war room. I dont know how many people war to start with so will use a guess of 4000 people.
    3. All the people who want to war have to join the war room before sign up ends.
    4. After sign up closes you cannot hire/fire allies,equip or unequip items,or build or tear down buildings. Essentially you and your build are locked as is. You may at this point cast any mith spells for use during war.
    5. The "Devs" create war bands IE. Mini guilds to place (26-29 or however many they decide) people in based on their criteria for an acceptable match up. with this in place and peoples stats/builds locked they could in theory match everyone who signs up into a war band. Maybe one war band has 27 people the other 29 but because the builds and all other variables the make a good matchup against each other with a high success rate of attack.
    6. Now this in theory should allow all who sign up to war. If not it would only be a few people who cant war not whole clans.

    Now I do understand some downsides like some people war with more than one kingdom/Accts. Not sure how that would work.

    This might even get rid of the billions of clans formed just so people have a place to war along with all the multiple accts that are inactive in these clans just to keep it as a war clan.

    Anyone with feedback more than welcome. Not looking for a complaint thread out of this though just trying to help.

  3. I like your idea op. Id join a war room and war today if i could. The harbinger clans that ata made for waring comes to mind.
     
  4. Its good for special events like asw but a lot of peeps like the notion of fighting alongside their clan mates so might get a lot of opposition.
     
  5. Its a good solution. Definitely will defeat the problem of guild hansel manipulations. But I war with my clan family and work as a team with the friends that I know and trust. Ur idea would eliminate this team work between trusted friends. But will also possibly crest new friends throughout kaw as u meat new people. Also another problem is that people may fight over leadership. There r many war commanders in each clan. And ur version of matchup could bring together an entire clan of war commanders that want to be the leader. This will cause major conflict and commotion. So there r some flaws that could be addressed. Though I wouldn't know how to mix them. Just wanted to point those out so it could be worked on.

  7. Thank you for feed back so far I do understand that people want to war with friends, that was one of the things at the time i was having trouble figuring out. Well I (actually a clanmate of mine) has an idea about that.

    1. Join the War room as a group of 5-7 people like a tribe then leave the other 20+ spots open for devs to plug people in to make successful matchups.

    2. As far as war commanders hey that is part of the game they will have time before matchup to decide and come up with war strategy. That will mean people will have to get along and wait for it ...............work together :p Also devs could mix people based on war experience. I am sure they have data on how many wars each kingdom had participated in and w/l record.

    3. Now i Realise that a lot of people who use GH to manipulate the matchup outcome will be angry if this comes to fruition.

    4. And please if you have ideas or suggestions to solve any of the issues you have post them I for one will not get offended and probly do not have all the answers. There is no such thing as a bad idea.
     
  8. Please comment any improvements or ideas will help I am still seeing similar complaints of people abusing current system IE not warring and just joining for VP EB
     
  9. Nice idea. I would like that type of war. Total chaos and fun ;-) . At least better than these wars where 60% of builds are GH. BTW why there are so many GH warring, kaw_admin? You have any data to share about this mystery?

  11. A hit hard job for the devs because they have to make the rosters themselves, every single person out of 4000.
     
  12. To stay OT, i would like that the outcome of the war can be calculated not only on plunder difference. I mean, i'd like to see factored in the final result the number of Ko/SKO and actions made by each clan. The mithril payout for each player depends on his activity in war(and many other factors, i know). Why we should have the winner clan based only on the final plunder?
     
  13. Maybe that it's not so hard to implement. Once you have created a good algorithm for the teams setting, the process is automatic. That's what computers do.
     
  14. I'm not warring but when I steal my main account tht is stronger then me, I get 30mill he looses 70mill... Plz fix this kaw tax u have put on system Ty.
     
  15. Why would I rescue warring with people I don't know? I can get unknown inactives and there will be no chance to wake up them... it will be about luck, if you get people who will be active, cast spells etc. So I am against this idea.

I think this needs to be revisited after getting hooked on warring the past couple weeks i am already PO'd at it for the manipulation of clans that use 3 lb players 1 or 2 mids the rest gh or sos1. I think my proposal has merit and should be considered due to this problem if people want gh/sos1 fine they get matched with a clan that has this not against a clan that doesnt.
