Resurrecting the Professions Idea..

  1. I believe the idea was for it to get traction in Active Topics then get moved to this forum once it seemed worth reading.

    To be honest all that is left really is for us to finish creating the content samples and adding them in

    As I said earlier, I have friends who only Escot in clans. Only time they are in a clan. But on top of that. Remember this is a war game. That's why I would like to see it on accounts, instead of clans. Because your 'pot idea' where the clan has a pot and everything, I just don't like that factor. I wouldn't share my Mith with a clan, nor would I share any thing else with a clan. My stuff is mine. Yes I agree it is a good idea, but play runescape.( I am not advertising other games, simply using it as a example) the main concept here is.
    A. Making people more loyal to a clan. We'll that doesn't work. People clan hop on runescape, of course they have a one week probation period where you cannot do the citadel.
    In the end it comes to a algorithm and variables, just thinking about it, I can think of 160 negative variables on how to abuse it.
     
  3. i think the idea is good but it would bring another too complicated set of variables ...much like the already existing builds available...if it was just a simple stat like our banners( attack/defend/neutral) n had upgrade potential, then its ok for me....XD

Well in that sense I'm not really saying put probation period etc I'm more or less saying that each person puts their materials in to some sort I clan pot then the clan cashes in on them to get a clan bonus. If say a person leaves or is removed then their portion contributed is lost to the clan. I only say this because adding it to individuals will make the dtw dts system haywire, and start issues with fairness in ee wars. I'm not saying adding it to individuals is a bad idea will just require much more work so their is no exploits to ppl with alternate accounts or completely send the game mechanics in a loop. Now this being said if all clans have the same chance to have an equal bonus just as it is with eb bonus but not with a % with like an equipment type bonus. Now I understand people like to hop clans that's y I recommended clan bonus as guests would also receive bonus for say war or what not it's just that their contribution to materials can't really be used in earning it eliminating people throwing massive numbers of alts in to get bonus and possible seals or whatnot then removing them to fill up with mains. Now the way it would need to be worked in this sense is that if someone leaves clan that has contributed, then the bonus that person contributes towards is suspended till those in the clan replace materials removed. Now either way added to individuals or clans I'd really like to see something happen with this but it will take a lot of effort to ensure all exploits are covered on both ways. I know their are flaws in both ways . This is why I'd like to see kaw_admin clarify what in this idea is possible and impossible with ee going on, and how they feel some exploits may come into play, so we as a community can help come up with solutions to fix them.

    So wait if I am your clan, and I say for example throw 5 xstals into the pot. And the clan kicks me. Then what suck it up. You are asking kaw to change it so clans can't kick people.

    Also could you clear this up for me. You said that we have a clan pot we put stuff in, now does this pot payout go to the ones that didn't put in anything? Or what if it was to drop say equipment. Is there specific equipment for noobs? I just don't the fairness in this. It's like gambling, which I am pretty sure is against TOC. Now before you say what crack I am smoking, I am smoking that crack that makes me think this, we put stuff in a pot. In the End we could end up with nothing or anything. Pretty sure that's gambling lol
     
  7. My original idea stated only so many materials can be earned a day so people don't abuse getting materials with xstals. I did not clarify but the pot can only have materials put into it. If that person is kicked then the clan loses its bonus till it's replaced. If bonuses are are full then materials can be turned into say a seal of the damned or something, either given to owner or admin/owner instead of choosing eb can have a pot option to start haunt escape if nothing running for the price of so many materials.
     
  8. What if it was directly related to the banners we already choose? Maybe give everyone the option for a one time banner change if they need to swap it out

    I think your idea has some merit. So much in fact that you may actually want to make your own thread. No I am not asking you to leave this one. But if you haven't noticed you have offered more ideas than I did in my first post, that may end up being more beneficial for you than you think.

    You might be able to get a whole separate thread going if you format it well and present it easily to read.
     
  10. i think u mean like a clan bank or treasury? a common pool...? if so, then i think thats not a bad idea. admin can put in equipments n allow other admin to use while in clan but once donated that item cannot leave the clan...also, can donate extra elements... that will also increase clan loyalty as ppl will aim for admin in the clan.

That's why I said a clan bonus so that every clan has the same chance at getting the bonus, this would want the need to bring in and kick to be eliminated as each clan would want to keep their bonus. Now if someone leaves/ gets removed that has contributed more materials then the stuff added for bonus that clan cannot get a seal until after all materials are replaced.

  13. I know I actually thought of making a thread of my own but I feel it would be almost like spam. Until the kaw_admin adds a suggestion I feel the entire thought should stay in one forum and get critism as seeing it into 2 different ways of putting this idea into effect. I'm merely trying to suggest if devs think it's to much for each account they have an option besides that to try and put it in motion not trying to steal your thunder with your idea just merely putting alternate options to look into. I feel you are on to something big with the idea and I honestly don't care which way the devs go with it I'd just really like to see something done with it.

In my own personal opinion when I saw this thread I started thinking of possible exploits and how game mechs work, then thought about clan mechs and figured I'd put an input in seeing how clan exploits would be a lot easier to to maneuver then each individual account. Not to mention the possible lag from all the extra added content. As I stated I'm not saying adding it to each person is a bad idea but would really make the game mechs change or go haywire.
     
  17. If you would like me to leave this thread I'd completely understand  a it was your idea I'd like you to keep the credit for the base idea. I was merely giving devs alternatives to the idea to try and make something out of it whether individual or clan.
     
  18. I am just saying your idea is a lot bigger than mine, instead of actually making a few changes to mine. I think it could stand by its own without needing to tag along to this idea.

    If you think it doesn't then by all means stay and keep adding your input, I will not complain one bit
