Yea, thanks. I know I'm inactive so lets not belabor that point and just discuss the meat of this. Ok, so in order to 'win' you must break the spirit of your victim. There are several ways to do this, but typically the main 2 ways are: 1) Loss of money (typically a large strip out as a clan on person scenario) B) Loss of potential income though pinning over the long term. (This is how most PvP fights work out) Mitigating factors also apply. Perhaps your target is a war clan player. They typically can't be cowed by loss of potential income due to farming because they like to PvP. In that case you may enjoy the bragging rights from pounding or stripping them with your clan, but chances are the best route is to destroy the weaker spirited players in their clan. I'm not saying the weaker profiles. I've had weak profiles in my clan before who were the best warriors. I'm saying find the biggest whiners and take them down. Runners and complainers in CC is a great way to beat a clan's morale. Do that and a few good strips on the leadership and you'll be in business to break them down. Remember a full strip takes 8000 successful actions. Avenues to success on 1v1 are similar. Lets say you're on someone of similar size. Burn pots like madness. Every hit burns about the same amount as a win they get. That means you get 10/26/13 and they have to make 26 wins to get those pots back. Since the win percentages got a bit skewed about a year back that's not easy to do on a PvP account. Do them with both bars and in high activity and you'll be on to some good fun. You can easily trounce someone's pots and control their ability to get more pots via constant activity on them. If your spies can get through their spy defense a single player can indeed keep another single player pinned indefinitely with little xtal usage. Xtal usage would be less without the recent percentage change on wins. I guess it's a money thing for ATA. Ultimately though any 'win' is measured through either predetermined victory conditions or one player or group giving up and accepting terms. Mutual CF's are quite common though and I really wouldn't call them wins in general. PvP is becoming far more common than Pwar days, and it's nice to see it back. Last time I hit forums big I only had 2 PvP players dogging me, and recently I picked up 4 more, so kudos to those who like that sort of fun. I haven't finished on my last guy yet though despite being inactive. This round of farmers will have to wait until I finish with this guy. Remember a 'win' if not predetermined by stripouts or win/losses and by stubbornness. Any joker can deny he lost and keep hitting. That's the fun of the game sometimes. Have fun, and remember the key to victory is activity and time. Anyone will give up after months of constant attack. Now go farm someone on the battle list and tell them 'Swabia said u was open!' It makes my wall exceptionally awesome.
What we've learnt. To win: Strip and pin your opponent till they give in. Oh... Really? I thought we just fail scout them to win?! I NEVVVVVEEEER KNEEEEW! Thanks!
Swabs you forgot to include that part where they actually return fire and kick your ass. I'll put it in while thread is still new. "You go inactive." Anarchy.
Well, worm, apparently it's not quite understood after 3 years that a win is measured by the victim giving in. Keep on them and eventually they will.
Anyways. Thanks for posting this attention thread Swabia. You taught us nothing. Except to strip and pin your opponent and be active. Which... Is what OSW is? Whom at else are you going to do..? Then you ramble on about how your finishing up with your current targets, like anyone cares.
Thanks! I always thought farming was when you hired their allies away! I never knew you actually had to attack them! This helped me so much! Please, make more useless threads!
