Kingdoms at War: 1.47 iOS - "Device Not Supported" Issue

  1. We have seen a few reports of users that are unable to update to the latest version of the game (1.47) on iOS devices. When attempting to install the update, they are informed that their devices is not supported. This appears to be a bug in the app store, since THIS UPDATE SUPPORTS ALL DEVICES.

    Before you proceed with the following solution, PLEASE BACKUP YOUR PHONE AND GAME. If anything goes wrong, you can restore the app.


    Some users have resolved it by:
    1. Restarting the device, which seems to force the App Store cache to reload
    2. If that does not work, deleting the app, and installing it from the store again. This seems to fix the app store cache.
    3. If that does not work, download and install via your PC/Mac iTunes store.
    4. If none of these work, restoring the backup will put the app back on your phone.

    The reason that everyone must upgrade is that Apple is deprecating UDID's:

    This means that we must get everyone to upgrade to a non-UDID dependent version of the game, so we can continue to update it and provide iPhone 5 support.

  3. So it's only on a few devices? I believe I'm on 1.47 and Im not having problems but i hope this bug is squashed soon. :)
     
  4. Im able to play in 1.47ver, its just very slow now compared to 1.46. Lagging even in Eb.
     
  5. I'm on iPhone as well and have had absolutely no problems since the update.
     
  6. This may be a naive question, but is it possible to link multiple accounts (alts) to ATA via a single email account? Or is a unique email per device/alt required?

    As I am upgrading to the IPhone 5 this coming Friday how will I transfer my account? Still via UDID for now or What?

    Please create an ATA ID account or link your current account to Facebook. When you download the game on your new device, you will be able to link it to your old account using this information.

    If it is lagging, please try restarting your device. Sometimes an 'update' doesn't properly flush out the memory on your device of the old version of the game.

  14. Kaw_Admin, how can I transfer accounts with the new KaW accounts? Want to go from iPod to iPhone but they both have accounts I wish to save. So account a---> device b and account b---> device a?
     
  15. I'm on an iTouch. Luckily, the update downloaded smoothly.
     
  16. Same here, I had no trouble with it.
     
  17. Ranger email the devs, you must have the udid of both. In email tell them account a w udid ----- and account b w udid ---- and ask to switch. Worked for me!!
     
  18. I have iPhone 4 n up to the date. KAW is also up to the date. KAW still lag n crash. I know is not my connection cause I pay $100 for my high speed Internet(cable) can't complain much. I Still love the gamelag on items in EBs n lag n crash during war when I got 76 inc hits. Said A....MEN!pray to KAWfor my iPhone 4 still working after I smashed on the table
