Kingdoms at War - 03/11/13 Update

  1. Its great having the new 2 hrs wars and giving more choices for war times. But WHY increase the minimum number of people needed to war? Is it a plan to achieve lesser clans warring? It is much more desirable to war with people you know and have been warring together regularly. But now with your min requirement for 40, which we do not have, we have to either recruit strangers from WC or we don't war at all. Guess we will choose the latter for the next few weeks. If u think there are options for smaller numbers, just our luck, they are on weekdays where most are not able to find time to kaw at times, let alone war. Congrats for getting 1 less clan to war.

    The new timings really suck! Could hardly manage 2 wars a week with old timings and less sleep but now it just reduced to 1!

  4. Please change back time for war2 to original sart time! People war in evenings or weekend. Not during night or work...
    I see people able to do wars 1,2,3,4,5,6... Unfair!!!
     
  5. @kaw_admin - I'm still upset with you guys, but here's my feedback anyways.

    In my opinion, these scenarios should be addressed in the following manner:

    -EXPLOITS-
    Its funny you see them as exploits. IMO, I see it as strategy. You may continue to change these exploits, and the same people will continue to change their strategy no problem. I doubt you would get complaints from these strategic type players.

    -TIMES-
    SGT 6:00pm Friday
    GMT 6:00pm Saturday
    EDT 6:00pm Sunday
    -- 4 hour war ends at 10pm, reasonable time. All time zones get the same time. No favoritism. PDT is only 3 hours earlier so putting them on the weekend allows them to war with EDT as most aren't working. Remove all the other weekday wars, unless you guys plan is on having us war 7 days a week. In any system war prep is a lot of work, and putting a team together is time-consuming already. Give us time to recuperate from the last war.

    -LENGTH-
    Pick Either 2 hours or 4 hours but not both. It feels like a fast food menu.

    -SIZE-
    30 vs 30
    -- When you have have clan of 100 people and have size restrictions in place, why not just restrict it to specifically 30. Seems like that's the winning number. Those that want to war but can't, because of over the limit would be rewarded in my EE suggestion. Let the leaders choose our team, not the members.
    Football: 11 vs 11
    Hockey: 6 vs 6
    Rugby: 15 vs 15
    Kaw: 30 vs 31 maybe 60????
    -- How do you think in any team activity, it would fair to add 1 more player? Would the Super Bowl allow it?

    -NO MATCH-
    With 30 vs 30 this no match option would be nice to give the leaders of the smaller team a heads up.
    -- Let 3 admins decide whether to go forward with the war just like in the old days. Don't show the stronger clan their weaker opponent is until the weaker clan has is decided to war. if the smaller clan bails out (no match notice goes to the stronger team). Only extension of EE should be suffice for both teams. No mith rewards.
    -- IMO, not all smaller stat clan are at a disadvantage. Give us the benefit of the doubt to use strategy. 1 vs 1 - do you think David Bailed out when faced with Goliath? No! It's called Strategy!

    -ESTOCS EDGE-
    Given to all 100 Slots in Clan and moves up and down when the clan as a whole wins/loses.
    -- This allows people who have opted in, and has a last minute change to keep their EE seeing that they have to leave clan losing their EE because of a last minute change. Or lettuce able to cancel Wave Conflict in the clan without leaving.
    -- This also improves clan loyalty. Taking their EE with them as they go is more individual characteristic (I got my EE, so see ya! Type)
    -- Let EE downgrade levels if the clan fails to enter in war, NOT completely vanish.

    -NON WAR'ers-
    Even they aren't warring, they should be given the Estocs Edge for the 5 hours they're not able to hit Epic Battle. Some compensation for being a prisoner.

    -MITH PAYOUT-
    Increase Mith for War'ers. This will entice non-WAR'errs to see war more appealing.

    -CRYSTAL USAGE-
    Lettuce win our crystals back! We aren't Bill Gates! 12 Crystals/week that's $40/month! would be nice to get crystals back at a minimum, and even better 1 or 2 more. That way the 9 year-old who can't afford $40/mo can at least win some in war.

    Great Job on the new Eb guys I like it. For future, I would like to request a 24 hour EB, not like a hard one, more of like a really really long haunting x 4

  7. Lol king most of that can't and will not ever happen but I do like the idea of winning your xtals back at a minimum just like our used mith they should be returned to us with a win or not returned with a loss why should a winning team have to loose $$ every war

  9. About the min 40 ppl i think u all don't understand this. A lot of the big clans have a vig problem in the max cap usually but u c they cry?! No cause u need to deal with it. Its ur problem if u don't have enough ppl or too much. But i am support the xtal idea. About the times its a pain in the *** i agree. But about the min cap too many complains u have two options : 1. Extand ur clan buy try recruit perms. 2. Simply dont do the wars.
     
  10. Devs, now that all the red paladin equipment has been released I find it extremely confusing that 4/12 pieces can still fail enchanting. Always have to come back to check forum as to which pieces do this to remind myself which items not to buy.

    Is it possible to correct this so that all pieces are treated the same? I have a suggestion but am unsure what difficulty would be involved. Is it possible to refund to all players the total costs they have invested in these 4 pieces and start from scratch?

    So what I mean is if you bought one of the reset items you get a refund on the item, all the mith used to enchant, and all the mith used in failed attempts.

    After that devs can re-release the items with updated prices and upgrade costs to reflect the no fail enchanting system.

  16. These new times are not good at all for folks from Europe. I understand most if kaw, including myself, hail from the USA and war times will always cater most to U.S. players. But Europe should not get THIS screwed over. It will prevent by EUR mates from warring much if any. 
    Also not pleased that it now takes 40 to be able to war. Getting 30 is tough enough. If you have to restrict numbers do so at the top end plz.
    Kudos on rolling out 2 hour wars, but please adjust start times for EUR based players. Failure to do so will prevent you from expanding your customer base. Changing benefits players and devs

  18. Opt in is marvellous. Well done. Remove a big reason many clans didnt war.

    But...
    Roster min and max limits prevent participation. It's hard enough to coordinate a time in a global "game" without having to restrict yourself because of these requirements.

    I can sort of understand a min of say 20 size...But min 40 makes no sense and max limits add no value to the game at all(not that the max limit affects me)

    I'm sure that kaw miss out of crystal sales every week because of this.
