If they're entrusted to moderate forums, they can certainly moderate walls and WC and get lots of speakers to answer questions in WC. I'm sure if another mod wanted to be a forum mod, they could. Would they want to? I would bet they wouldn't because they rarely use forums.

Re: New Forum Moderators! Some mods dont understand how the forums work. Those mods, while still being knowledgable about the tou, aren't capable of moderating the forums. Now devs can spread out the workload giving every mod the position he/she will be best suited for.

Re: New Forum Moderators! It is apparent that not all moderators are well versed in the forum. I myself made it clear when applying for the role that I spent an awful lot of time in the forum and would probably focus the majority of my attention here. It is not an absolute requirement to moderate both, however all moderators are taught how to use the forum toolbox. That being said, it's not necessary to give a moderator the enhanced forum abilities if they aren't going to use them.
Re: New Forum Moderators! The ToU and RoC are posted in forums. I'd venture to say that mods who use forums might me more familiar with them than those who do not. Even still, if you're somehow trying to make the argument that Moose or Drgnblade are unqualified to moderate walls and WC, I think you're going to have a hard time supporting that argument. :mrgreen:
Re: New Forum Moderators! Drgn, well if you're here most of your time why have the extra things that the other mods would have? Are they not wasted on you? All i'm saying is it would have been better as two separate entities, Forum mods get the forum stuff and other mods get the speakers! Or just give you all the extra tools and be done with it!
