1. Not possible at the moment as that'll make it hard to balance Estoc's Edge 2. We'll keep it at 1 for now, we a wary of making this too easy for players who pay to win. 3. This is only for our war events held at specific times during the week, not for all wars. 4. Possible, but not likely at this time. 5. Achievements is definitely on our todo list. Good idea
In the current design, you would. I do see how your example is valid and may cause headaches for your clan. One way to get around that is to not fill those 50 spots in the next week, but spread it out over a few weeks. I agree that it isn't the best solution given your situation, but we also have to balance this rule against exploits, and allowing too much movement with clans will cause other problems which we would prefer not to deal with.
Many of you have written about this, and given the response, we will think about creating a new item which will put you into stasis in return for Mithril. If we can make this happen, we'll update the main post.
@KaW admin a few questions/ideas for you. 1. To promote clan unity and such, the winners of the weekend war will get the EB item drop bonus(don't remember the name) and only the people who participated in the war, not outsiders. 2. Instead of having the percent bonus go away after 30% change, make it 20% of the people who were involved in the war. 3. Perhaps make the crystal limit 2-3 in the war, it's not hard to spend a day or two doing quests instead of EBs to get crystals. Sorry if these ideas were already suggested and you touched base on them.
These ideas are good, unfortunately doing #1/#2 would be difficult for us to implement at this time. Given the feedback so far, we are seeing that there is concern over this 30% restriction. We'll see if we can come up with something more fair. As for the crystal limit, when we proposed this entire idea, we received a ton of negative feedback over the perception that we are only doing this to encourage crystal use. Now that we reduce it, we're hearing that you all want to use more. :? We will go with 1 as a starting point, and move that up if there is a demand for it after the trial wars.
I have waited a long time to see the day when kaw was pushed back in the direction of war! That in mind I will add some feedback. 1: midweek wars is a good addition 2: 1 xstal per acc each war is welcomed 3: the stasis idea mentioned would help a lot who have busy life's to participate 4: mithril reward should be looked at,spies who scout the whole war earn poorly...ETC! as part of a team I feel the whole clan should earn equal reward! Yes it will lead to those who slack and try to take the glory for others work but the clan should address this themselves 5: keeping the clan within a certain % of war roster is also a idea I like, clan hopping has lead to too many alliances and divided loyalty! Just my opinions and thank you devs for actively listening AND acting to the players wishes
A couple thoughts: 1.) An idea I though might make wars more interesting, is to add a little more variety. Is there a way to implement a system that grants bonuses for certain build types, accessed by completing build specific objectives? As it is, wars are a little too linear; too simple overall. This could solve the butthurt people have complaining bout hansel unfairness. This could add another layer of strategy that could be used to have a more rewarding outcome. If interested, i can email support with more details. 2.) As far as the whole "30% change negating estoc's edge" goes, i think its good, but the people having issues about this is also legit, cuz clan growth shouldnt count. Also, clans remove some members for war cuz theyre not ready, cant participate, etc. A thought for this is to allow a new clan feature, a war roster. A clan can "register" the clan members they use as staple members during war. Can even go as far as having it admin/dev approved, OR restrict it to only one change a week. Those not on roster, are locked out for war. Can make it a 50 member minimum, so as to not promote exploitation. Each week, during the one revision, if more than a certain percentage is changed on the roster, estocs edge is negated.
I disagree with the 1 xstal per war, only because it's a 12 hour system war. Which means each player can hit 13 times (full regeneration every hour 1 xstal) let's give a example, a group of 3 players are attacking one enemy from the other team which keeps that player pinned at 0% troops, if he is pinned all war or for most of the war he basically is giving away free hits and gold and it becomes very unfair for the player being grouped up on. The only way I see getting out of a situation like this is casting mith. spells to try and stop some of the hits or using a xstal to get out of the 0% troops. I just foresee this being a bully tactic by stronger players and a real disadvantage for weaker ones, some might argue its war strategy but to what point.
That 30% bonus isn't fair on mercs/friends and so on. Also been thinking, how do you imagine to encourage people to war, if the other clan already has the "bonuses" it's like fighting a lossing battle
Changes look really good, I think the 12-12pst war times may be quite difficult for some time zones though. Especially if the auto join still going to be there?
What if the attacking player uses up (zeroes) his troops and spies trying to pin/attk the opponent. Will the rules of reward combat come into picture? What are the scenarios listed below in which the rules of reward combat work/does not work? Scenario 1: When the attacking player (player 1) uses up all his troops and spies on the opponent (player 2) irrespective of success or failure. Scenario 2: When the attacking player (player 1) takes his troop strength and spy strength to below 20% attacking/spying the opponent (player 2) and the opposing clan then works together and zeroes troops and spies of player 1. Both the scenarios does not fit the bill of the spirit of the statement "Clans that work together to finish off players should be rewarded"
Apologies, just seen your earlier reply to Gabriel saying autojoin will be used (lots of comments to trawl through)
Excellent revised changes kaw. Shows you listen to us and it's going to improve the gaming experience. Cannot list another game where devs listen to players feedback like this. The xtal limitation helps on pure clan strength. My only instant concern is if a clan has regularly uses a war clan to bounce members to will they be considered a fake clan if they go their for war and stay during bonus time limit. With limited members from home clan allowed in. Tho solved by making home clan war and ebs in sub. Just answered myself.. Will scouts that are used to pin earn a plunder or bonus towards end of war payout as they still play a crucial role in war. Plunder from wars I think should be based on hits done, strength of kingdom rather than amount of gold out only as this will limit clans to winning based on leaks not actively fighting an opponent. Hitting an active opponent should earn more than hitting someone that does 50 actions in the war and then goes off shopping. Hitting someone mega active 1000 hits regardless of size should earn more plunder per hit to ecourage active players hitting opponents active players. Opening new tactics and more effort in locating rival clans most active members and fighting them first rather than the weak inactive members. And please min stats combined 100k just to stop 0 stats in war. Anyone can get that in 1 day of playing the game so kills the dead alt scenario.
ok short wars not an option for the estok. But how about just normal system wars to train new players to war. Just normal war plunder no drop bonus just extra eb equivalent bonus payout at the end to keep growth going.
@kaw - what about the point about buildings? Lots of people have spent a lot of gold on a t5 build which might not be well suited for new war mechanic. Will KaW have an amnesty period where there is 100% refund available on t5 buildings. Bad timing with buildings out first then completely overhaul war system.
25% is too low in my opinion, troops are really weak at 25% and it will be really easy to take someone back to 0 repeatedly with no way to protect yourself with the removal of dtw plus a single crystal use. I liked 50% better
Lol Rooney. I'm trying to switch build also. But I guess my loss is not comparable to urs. It's something like a sudden earthquake that destroys all ur properties. Anyway I'm sorry for u and for myself too.
