What would happen if the entire opposing clan run out of troops/spies, should that reset plunder or take a large percentage away?
I am very interested in beta testing the new system war. Just a clarification piece though. I might have missed it but would the mechanics apply just while in a system war or would some of the mechanics carry over to out of system war combat? Also I like one or two crystals per 12 hour period (if options are eventually enabled). It would require a much more concerted effort on he part of a clan to turn the tide, enhancing the clan aspect of cohesive warring. Also I saw some concerns that a number of small players can pin a large player. They currently burn more troops to do that. If that continues not sure where the problem is. Anyway looking forward to trying it out. Keep it classy kaw.
This might sounds stupid, or abusive. But I'd like to suggest a 'pause' function for individuals. I cant speak for everyone, but I am gone for work for about 12 hours a day. And even weekends are often busy. I can't always be playing to take care of share of a war. I don't want to end up being an opening, and have my clan afraid to drop me for fear of losing an Estoc's Edge or something. To this, I'd like to propose the option to call a ceasefire until you're capable of playing again. During this peace time, enemies can still attack you, but they will not receive war tax. Nor will 0ing your troops cause plunder drop. The person who has gone AFK cannot, of course, attack the other clan. To remove this, you enter a 're-entering war' status. Where enemies can make plunder off you, you can take drops from being 0ed, but you can't attack. If this status lasts 10-15 mins you would be saying "ok, I'm ready to sit down and play for a while." Not sure If that makes sense. If not, and you're interested, you know where to find me. Additionally, involving Estoc's Edge... What is stopping clans from just deciding to 'take turns' winning, and turning it into a PW with even more bonus? And forfeiting. Forfeiting shouldnt grant the opponent an Estoc Edge, but that's a bunk deal. Easily abused. Hmm. I shall think on these matters more.
Kaw_Admin: I would strongly support a mithril spell to place a kingdom in stasis for a portion of a war (after testing of the new mechanics as you stated earlier). This new system is aimed at generating more war participation, if I have understood your intentions properly. Real Life happens and having a way to allow that and be active in War is essential, especially with auto join. Without it most will still ignore war and stick to EBs. Respectfully, ALIAS
KaW I'm still concerned that we were all pushed into building t5 by the reduction in price of t4 and now many people may wish to change their build. Will you give an amnesty period with 100% refund on buildings?
@Grace Kaw stated that zeroing your own troops will cause no loss in plunder. But it will leave you vulnerable because your troop levels are low so you can be pinned easily.
I agree with the idea of a limited Mith spell to keep you out of war temporarily. And I believe that the Estoc's Edge (or whatever you called it) should only apply to those who participated in a war. Why should someone get a better chance at an item and more gold if they didn't do anything to deserve it? If you decide to implement the Edge the way I have suggested, then it wouldn't matter if people joined the clan or left the clan. Only those involved have the Edge. On a side note, leaving the clan automatically forfeits your Edge.
Love it! The original proposition was good and devs I've gotta say you're only getting better! A big up your's to all those that claim ATA is greedily forcing xstal use - 1 xstal per member per war!!! Very interested in beta testing this bad boy ^_^ ^o^ SingleMalt SUPPORT ^o^
Great! But please let the players inactive from start and activate them at the first strike! It's their choice if they wanna join the war or not! I wish for this changes to be implemented in beta tests ASAP! Just to start the change way of fighting after all stars war! Thank you!
Some good revisions. . I like the reduction in xtal use, but 1 maybe a little extreme. War should b about tactics and skill, not the size of your wallet. Something i may of missed was any sort of unique equipment for war goers. Alot of kaw are war virgins, and will still need a carrot to jump over from eb's. I have spoken to a few none war clan owners asking if they will sign up for war changes, and their biggest concern was if they did they would lose half their clan. War noobs yes, but remember please, they started this game devoid of an effective war system. Again, ty for listening.
I am EXTREMELY impressed at this whole thread. They listened, to us, made system wars better, and now almost everyone is happy! Btw this is the first thread ive seen that the devs actually were answering many questions and being very helpful. If u see this devs, this is exactly what players want. Achievement bonuses plus this, i would say these are the best updates ever! Now clans will be doin wars and ebs about 50:50. It has become kaw again...thank you...
I like to try new wars but the 1 crystal needs to change not that 6 is good but maybe 2 every 6hrs of war would be great...thx devs
Both soldiers and spies have to be over 25% before they can exit Stasis. Can you explain your example again, I'm not quite sure I follow what you are asking.
War Tax is something we will not be changing at the moment. By skewing the rewards to the winning side, we are keeping the high risk, high reward mentality of going into war. If anything, we will improve the rewards for winners such that players are motivated to not only participate, but to win. Your suggestion of tiered payouts is already built into the EB bonuses you'll be getting for winning. No changes in Mith at the moment.
Once we have a proven system that works, we will look into what we can do to improve war reports. Most likely this will involve a new client update, which will take longer to implement.
New Achievement for putting an enemy in stasis is a good idea, we'll add it to our list of possible things to do, thanks!
