Upcoming War Changes

  2. One thing that has not been addressed is the length of a war. Clans should be able to personalise the time they want to war for. Smaller wars like 4hours or just put no limit on it war until one clan FF.

    For people that are busy and want to war the shorter wars would be perfect and the no limit one one way of giving osws a home and some purpose
     
  3. Another thing i thought of is that if a clan has lets ectors edge lvl 3 and then loose a weekly war it should disappear just go down to lvl 2

  5. Beta testing. Sign me up. But what about recruiting clans, will there be a bracket for those? And then the main clans that have smaller stats at about 4-6m cs?
     
  6. Can u please fix wars so that small players can get gold, mith, and other things. Instead of oh u didn't do enough to get anything. Everyone should get something
     
  7. I heard some talk yesterday about the update and a few asked if there was going to be a war log, like the epic battle log. Since they didn't comment here i thought i would on their behalf. (ps i disagree with them totally.) 
     
  8. Active from beginning of war is such a bad idea! Imagine that you are stuck to work or that you have a real life that grabs you all of a sudden! That makes you unwillingly a target! Or if you are going for a trip! Is it supposed to postpone it for a war game! Terrible idea! A strategical way of doing war is to involve forces in waves. One more reason for NOT being active from beginning! Who wants to throw tanks in front of infantry? Unacceptable!

    And being a target for players outside the war... Imagine that I want to battle! And I see in the list that opponents are some in EB, some in war. Who do you think that I shall choose? Or that I have an alt (as almost everybody does) and pin myself! That's "turtle war" in new colours! I think if you wish to encourage alliances, you should make them first official - like a tab in clan page that shows the alliances made. And that means that you should have a switch to turn on for alliance as an admin if both clans agree to do it. And you can now allow during war the much needed help from an alliance or another! And do not allow hits from other clans, except one or two allied clans, which are mentioned in your clan page list.

    The duration of wars is crucial for a large part of players. And that should be customisable! This I think is the most wanted feature in this game.

    About rewards... Those are great, and estoc (?) is a good idea! But the limit for not losing that should be a 30% or more from the players that fought the war! And please do reward one side with drops - aqua/inferno/crystals/mithril/items - and gold, and the other side with plunder made from war and some drops as well, rewarding the activeness and encouraging the future activities in next war. And items from war should be a rule! Of course that a lower war tax sounds like a dream, but you should consider that for same reason as above!

  9. And by the way, I read all the messages posted before me just to be sure of at least a part of my opinion! And they seem justified for me! Off course I shall think about it more, and share my thoughts with you as it is required!
     
  10. Warring is one of the greatest aspects of this game. It's good to see changes being implemented and getting us all back in warring mood which we all miss since the pwar days.

    Specific equipment only attainable from wars is a great idea. Even better if said equipment gives bonuses only achievable through wars. The better the rewards and bonuses are from warring, the more popular wars will be.

    Moving dtw to 50% is certainly an interesting twist. Not one I agree on as it's been stated, it can be abused and will cause a lot more down time among other problems.
    Locking quests and outside hits is a great idea. It will help kill those turtle wars which I, like many hate.

    As for weekly tournaments and new clan achievements, I think this is great. It gives those clans on the lower half of the leaderboard a chance to war and gain something and, incorporating an increase in plunder and drop rates is a very good idea and keeps everyone interested.

    As a side note: I, like many players here, am always up for a bit of testing ;)

  11. The move from 20% to DTW to something like 50% is great. I'm not sure why all the comments about it are so negative.

    It actually gives you time to do other thing in the non-kaw world, rather than checking your account every 10 minutes.

    I'd be happier if it was 100%  so I could sleep more 
     
  12. Interesting point above from Kyanzinath. I can see the reason behind a clan being punished for a membership turnover of 20%, you are trying to reduce clan hopping. However, the suggestion that people should automatically start active in a war would encourage people who can't or don't wish to participate in that war to leave. If they don't then they will leak gold and maybe allow the other side to win.
     
  13. The biggest reason people don't war is because they feel it slows down their growth. The current game mechanic is very solid. Fix the incentive and not something that isn't broken. If you must make a change have players dtw at 0 troops or spies, although that gives the spy builds a big advantage til you scout bomb them. I would only do that for the war portion of the game though as someone getting farmed mercilessly can use the dtw mechanic to continue to grow slowly. Very slowly......

  15. Erm kaz tanks always lead infantry to war. After an air campaign. Just saying. But if you like the idea of killing your own forces?
    Short wars has a forum by NIGHTWING suggestin 4-6-8 hour wars as an extra option could be implemented here easily as stated before with greater payouts for longer wars.
    Many won't war due to months saving for allies and having them stripped.
    Having an allies hire block, outside hits and friendly fire off reduces the problems. Though ally block should be bootable between combatants.
    Faster regen whilst in war would help with DTW issues.
    Maybe killer gets bounce to full troops as reward and dead player bounced straight to 50% after a random short delay to break a cycle on regen time. Though I fear devs want more xtal usage

    Side note spy quests with xtal rewards.
    Obviously not during wars

  17. If the new system includes rewards you can only earn in war please include something to ensure only real wars are rewarded. If that's not done you will see a ton of pwar's start up again just so clans can earn the rewards. Maybe implement something like if one sides plunder is 1000 times the other side then no rewards are given. Obviously a more complex calculation than that would be needed but I'm sure you get the idea.
     
  18. I also agree with hockeydude2000.we should be able to personalize the wars.to our time limit or until one clan ffs
