No you dont. The same way you can get mithtil before having the mage. You need the alchemist to use it though.

Hi. Hopefully Miss Melon or someone who went hansel could help me with this. last year, being stupid, i went to upgrade 5 guilds to lvl3 CoE. now i have 26lvl4 guilds , 5lvl3CoEs and 1 lvl3 SoS. And Im completely lost on how to go on from here. destroying CoE would make me lose alot, converting guilds to sos would cost too.. please do give some advice
