  1. Just to get started i wanna say all strategies mentioned are the best in my personal opinion. You may have others you like better but that's your choice. This guide will be very generalized to show key points. there are hundreds of guides out there to show you the specifics for each matter. I am not making this guide to be pretty or to give you every piece of information in the game. I am giving you a good foundation and basic info. You can get active and figure out the little things yourself :p

    Getting Started
The first thing when starting a new account is obviously to get to a good clan preferrably a subclan so you have people to watch your back while you are small. Once you get in some where try to get a volley to 2b or so. dont build anything yet just explore until you can buy T2 buildings.
At this point you want to build a mixture of forges and guilds. Once you can build T3 build a T3 balanced building and start converting the forges to guilds to become a hansel.
The reason I say you should always start as a hansel is because of the well known fact that hansels make $$$$ Use this to your advantage.Take the hansel build to 38 lands or higher. Then a save up a ton of money however much you are patient enough to do really then convert to t4 as much as possible at one time. If you are staying hansel then try to save more so that the sos switch does not lower your plunder much.I have you building forges at the beginning because you need the attack power to get you started at such a low level and i feel is the fastest way to get your build going.
Ok, so now that you have started exploring more and building more guilds try to get to land 23 with lvl 3 guilds and then start making them all lvl 4. Once you are in the highlands keep saving and repalce the T3 balanced building with a T4 balanced building and then do as i mentioned previously and just get a ton of land.

    Creating a Good Build

When you are making an attack build they are a few key things to know. first off it is not wise to mix Cursed foundries and Titans lair together in a build. A lot of people add a few titans in their build for the small plunder difference but in the end it is going to hinder you.

For example if you have the values of cf = .97 coe = 1 tl = 1.05
The 2 coe = 2 1 cf + 1tl =2.02 but you have 40k less stats. not worth it to me because if you think this out over half ur build you are looking at a possible 200k loss in stats to make an extra 40m an eb.
I personally use all coe but if you take a mixture of coe and cf, or a mixture of coe and tl either build works great as long as you are not building cf and tl together.Hansel is obvious 1 coe and a ton of sos.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it is not good to leave buildings not maxed out. Once you place your building get it to its max level before u start exploring and placing a new building.

    Allies
Allies are one of the most important things in the game. You should make sure you are at max plunder at all times. The easiest way to check this is to write down your plunder from allies after you attack, then buy a cheap ally, attack again and see if the # changes. If it does not change you are at max plunder. If it goes up you need to buy more allies.
Making sure your allies are active and will grow is very important because you can make a lot of money off selling allies. You gain a small percentage of their original value when you purchase them. You also get another % when they are bought from you. Good money can be made in volleying active allies.
