Re: Modern Republic Poddy - the iPad is just apple's version of a netbook. They need to work on the software a bit more and add flash to it. I'd rather stick with my iPhone for now. But I bet playing KaW on the iPad would be awesome lol. Can't wait til the MadTV version of the iPad comes out. Sumsette - I bet he get a lot of his cuteness from his mama. You should travel with him to the Philippines, you guys would love the island lifestyle and vibe.

Re: Modern Republic Why would u have a gap? Either a cobra if u r between jobs and if u have current coverage u should have No pre-exsisting issues. They shouldn't be allowed to have a wait if you currently maintain health insurance at curren company

Re: Modern Republic Cobra is very expensive but worth a permanent increase in pay. It has to go retro back to ur loss of INS date. I used to work in HR for 5 years. Ask your potential employers HR to be sure of current laws. But u should be able to work it!!
Re: Modern Republic There should be no 3 month wait period if you currently have insurance. Better bene and more pay should offset a cobra.
Re: Modern Republic Thanks for the encouragement and ideas guys! There is more involved in that decision than the insurance. My wife is also employed where i work and she's been on full paid medical leave for over three months now ( a benefit that doesn't exist here). We stand to lose more than just my insurance if they are upset with me leaving. It's not bad here. It's just an opportunity to be a chef again and I hadn't expected that I'd ever want to again but hey...my baby comes first. Sorry to be dropping non clan stuff on the thread. I was just venting my frustration anyway
