  1. Beginners guide to screen shots, images, and gifs on kaw forums

    take screen shots

    Take a screen shot
    * power button and volume down at the same time *

    upload to a hosting site

How to upload screen shots to forums, first have to be uploaded online

For screen shots you have to upload them to an image hosting site. That's because screen shots are on your phone and NOT online.

I use this hosting site below, but you can choose any that you like

    http://postimages.org/

Resize image is not necessary we will do that automatically in forums bbcode

Pick your expiration date (I usually use 31 days, most threads don't last, but you decide your preference)

Next step is to copy the direct link to the image (this is the image location)

Then go to forums to add your screen shot by using the "direct link" to the image

We use imgfit in brackets to open the code paste the link and then /imgfit in brackets at the end to close it. This will resize the image to fit your screen, my screen, and whoever looks at it, it will fit their screens too

    posting to forums

    It should look like this
    Code:
    https://s1.postimg.org/5kqa1etbof/Capture_2017-10-18-12-40-01.png
    [/imgfit]

That's how you upload screen shots.

    images and gifs already online

Images and gifs are far more easy.

How to upload images and gifs, no hosting site is needed because it's already online, all you need is the link to the image

Now if you want to upload an image or gif you found online you don't need to take a screen shot and do all those steps

    Just copy the image location

Then it's the same code imgfit and /imgfit

    It looks like this

    Code:

    https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.riffsy.com%2Fimages%2F89930c7b43802549e655576e2838cda8%2Ftenor.gif&f=1

    [/imgfit]

    And the result

That is the end of this guide, have fun, enjoy and follow the forums rules on uploading images and content
