So when I was trying to log on for the first time in a few month on my old ipad mini 2 I kept getting a long loading screen that would eventually crash to a black screen and send me back to my home page. To fix this here are the steps. 1.First turn on airplane mode on your idevice and then start Kaw. This should cause it to load to the unable to connect screen. 2. After that screen simply press the home button and turn on wifi. 3. Reopen the app and let it load. It takes a little while but should ultimately allow you to play again. Hopefully this was helpful to those struggling!

We've released multiple fixes and have another build submitted to the App Store. Older devices don't handle the amount of data in the game currently. It's not so much a bug as it is that a 6year old device has low memory and is difficult to support while also trying to build new features. Regardless we are working hard to continue to support older devices.
Good to see a player offering a solution that works for some people. I'll have to try it myself as I'm having the loading problems again.
