It apears I am retaining the lesser equipment levels as I progress through the tiers of this current promo. At 10k thingies and now have 4 new shoulder pads and 4 new helmets. The only benefit I can see is if I really liked one particular equipment's style and description I could choose to upgrade that one, otherwise it's just more junk I don't need.
