I talked about this in the second video notes in the op. It's determined by the amount and type of successful actions done in the mission, with the actual gold amount dependant on the mission and possibly the build(needs testing to confirm). This means scout actions earn less than say, an attack action. As far as how it's split, it's somewhat like a pie. If someone does 600 damage in actions to a 1000 hp stage, they get all of those actions. If they leave the clan (rejoin or not), the pie is effectively reduced to 400 dmg worth of actions to do and the 600 damage of actions is lost.
