Twice now Americans have elected a socialist moron to office. How is it working here? Hmmm...I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that just because millions of ill-informed idiots vote for someone, it doesn't mean they (as a whole) are prospering.
Capitalism and free market (lack of regularization of Wall Street) cause the economic crisis and recession. Capitalism and Wall Street did that. Capitalism outsourced american people jobs. Capitalism policies caused the high unemployment rate. Not Bush, not Obama, not, not "european socialist" policies. And all these was facilitated by the lack of government control over economy and capital market.
You don't need high taxes to regulate your economy. Canada pretty much avoided the recession because it's central bank stopped people from making ridiculous loans that they could not repay. Taxes are a good thing until it overextends the duties of government. Socialism can't exist in a free market because it will always be made cheaper in a capitalist country. Capitalist businesses can afford a lower profit margin and therefore lower prices which means more sales.
US politics isn't really politics. It's Piers Morgan talking to Donald Trump about AR-15's and a bunch of attack ads, propaganda, and uneducated people making opinions based on the attack ads and propaganda. I'm not saying we got propaganda in Canada either. I got a letter in the mail from the Conservatives saying that the Liberals want kids to smoke pot (this really is a dumb argument. Legalization of marijuana will reduce income of crime gangs which should reduce profit incentive of being a part of organised crime) Anyway what I'm trying to say is that American politics used the wrong arguments. Attacking someone's character and scaring people with misleading information will not lead to great ideas and logical decisions. It leads to irrational decisions. Yes, there are smart Americans, just like everywhere else. But for the below-average/average intelligence with a high-school education, there is no fair unbiased argument that is easily available (in my opinion) which can lead to poor decision-making that is regulated by those who can afford to mass-produce the propaganda and attack ads.

Maybe I don't Zombie... but I can see how capitalism works for american companies. When they have money to invest, they do it anywhere they find cheap labor market. Anywhere except USA. Because, well, they are multinational companies. But when they have troubles, they ask USA government to bail them out because, well, they are american companies. Once USA government, using YOUR money, save their sorry asses they go back at being multinational companies... but hey! if this is how you like what can I say? Enjoy your capitalism. And keep working hard to pay your taxes, taxes that are needed to create more jobs in 2nd and 3th world.
