A Guide To Effectively Pinning

  1. A Guide To Pinning

    This guide will cover pinning the different builds, explained here in A Dummies Guide To Builds by iMaster.

    Now for new players, you may ask, What is this pinning lark?

    - Pinning is Attacking, Scouting, Stealing and Assassinating a player to render them useless. The aim is to make them DTW (Defender Too Weak) and SZ (Spies Zeroed). Players commonly make the mistake that pinning is just attacking a player til DTW, however even if the target is DTW their spies can be an issue.
    - Defender Too Weak occurs when the player has less than 20% troops. (And 0 Gold In Some Builds).
    - Spy Zeroing is as the name says, is making the player have 0 spies.
    - Regeneration Time (Regen Time) is the time when the target regenerates troops and spies. This occurs every 5 minutes.
    Further information can be found here: Bellemorte's Fight Mechanics

    The Basics

    Of course, this game is different from other ATA games, the two bars are separate from each other. This means you must use different actions to ensure the target is DTW and SZ (Pinned).
    The basics of pinning are as follows;
    1. Attack Target Till DTW Message
    If DTW go straight to 3.
    2. Assassinate Til DTW Message
    3. Scout Target Til "Enemy Spies Lost" is 0.
    4. Scout Target Every 30 Seconds
    5. Note The Time When The Target Has Spies Again. You have now found the target's Regen Time.

    The target is now available for Attacks, Assassinations and Steals every 10 minutes.
    The target is now available for Scouts every 5 minutes.

    Advanced

    Now effectively pinning targets totally depends on your build and their build. Spies are key for pinning.
    Please Note: Expect an enemy to be potted up - Use your own pots to counteract.
    Please Note: Take into account of your troop count to their troop count. The findings below are purely based upon pure raw stats (an equal troop count, similar BFA, similar Equipment).

    With reference to the Builds Guide (at the top):

    If you are an ATTACK BUILD the enemy is;
    - Full Attack:

    Towers, Allies, Spells and Equipment

    Towers have static defence - take this into account with your build and targets.
    If they have 1m spy defence in towers and you have 1m spy attack then their is chance you will win first few hits however unlikely to win the rest.

    Take into account of a players BFA, Spells and Equipment. They are static stats which can effect your effectiveness to winning.

  2. Another great thread! Deserves a sticky!

  3. Thx guys :3

    Hoping for some other of my threads (that you can see in comment 1) for sticky too - Beginners already is :)

  4. My only question is, why didnt you make these type of threads before the Valiant Knight award

  5. Shutup nathan, he did good. Lol

  6. I know its a great thread, all of them are. I just think that people should have made these kinds of threads before that achievement wss offered.

  7. Wow it's not stickied yet? Real nice bro.

  8. @NathanielG Heres a little history of myself;
    I have been training my own warriors of kaw for 3 years,
    I have been helping in a 3rd party support room for over 1 year,
    I have only RECENTLY taken to the forums to help the community.

    The reason I have moved to the forums was because of the "Mentors" idea that both I and -Dante- made. This idea was made BEFORE the VK achievement. Both mine AND -Dante-'s recent threads are not because of the VK achievement - they are because we get enjoyment from helping and sharing our experiences/knowledge to the community of KAW.

    I personally have 3 years of experience and knowledge of KAW gathered around the strongest alliances/clans/players in the game - And I intend on sharing them.

    :) Thanks for the support.

  9. Pinterestong...

  10. You should have made a table for the advanced bit

  11. I find scouting every 10 sec. When tracking for regen to be more effective, seeing as I can 0 myself in under 30 seconds.

    Just saying, great thread though

  12. This is awesome :eek: you just changed my life :') thank you!

  13. Yeah, unabashed mentors didn't go too well.

  14. Please wall me the answer, if a "gh" has 400k spy. And 400k att from other buildings which he shouldn't hv, is he hybrid or gh?

  15. Your advanced bit needs more work.
    Those are very basic, and in some cases wrong.
    But well done for the effort and trying.

  16. Blahh, if that GH was to have a few colonies to make up that 400k attack and defense, then it would still fall under hansel mechanics.
