A guide to building a strong hybrid

  1. Hybrids are a reliable build with a lot of different ways to construct them. Through this thread I will go through a series of different hybrid builds and how it's best to get there (in my opinion, please comment if u think differently about any of the things I say).

What is a hybrid and why is it a good build?
A hybrid is a build with reasonably balanced spy and troop stats, and can be altered to have completely balanced stats, or can be spy heavy, or troop heavy. They can very useful in wars and 1v1s, as they are great at hitting the weaknesses of opponents (like if taking on an attack build, a hybrid could assassinate the attack build, taking out both their troops and spies, and if taking on a spy build, a hybrid could attack the spy build and take a heap of gold from them). They are also pretty good builds for epic battles, better are far more unique for those who seek wars and personal battles (1v1s, 1v2s, 2v2s etc).

How to start off a hybrid
There are many different ways to start off different builds in KaW, and personally, i like to start all builds off with buying lots of forges and only a few guilds until the build is strong enough to unload on tier 2 or tier 3 epic battles because hitting epic battles successfully is critical for getting started in KaW. Once started off, you can then start to gradually modify and change your build with reasonable ease.

    Different types of Hybrid

    Pure balanced hybrid
This was the first hybrid i created, and i have figured out that to get equal stats building a hybrid, the following buildings for each set of land (highlands, lowlands, hoarfrost) is required:
Lowlands - 10 circles of elements, 1 castle, 14 strongholds of shadow
    Highlands - 10 colonies, 15 volaries
HF - 10 or 11 elven temples, 14 or 15 unkari ice trees (educated guess, either way it should be very balanced)

    Attack heavy hybrid
In my opinion, this is the best type of build for being able to hit epic battles, and how to build it is completely up to you, as to how far "attack heavy" you want it, although i would not go any further attack heavy than having half troop buildings, half spy buildings.

    Spy heavy hybrid
I love to war with spy heavy hybrids, as I always find myself using spies far more than troops, because they can not only pin your opponents spies, but they can also pin their troops, leaving them dtw (defender to weak), and are great for pinning attack builds much bigger than yourself. Like attack heavy hybrids, this type of hybrid is completely up to you on how you build it, and it varies on how spy heavy you want your kingdom to be.

    Hybrids with big defense
Defense towers are becoming the new trend for wars these days (although not useful for epic battles) and having a hybrid with defense towers is extremely variable on what you can do. You could have a spy or troop heavy hybrid, and then make up for the weaker side with a heap of defense towers, or you could have a balanced build with spy or troop defense towers making one side bigger in defense, or you could also have equal boosted defense for both spies and troops, and that's some of the examples!

But anyway, that is my guide to building strong hybrids, and I hope it has helped anyone whom is looking at making, or converting to, a hybrid build. Thankyou for reading and please comment any questions or feedback :D Have fun

  2. Uuuh… you gonna edit?

  3. I found it fascinating....

  4. No problem, i really want to read it btw, as thats my main goal. Hope you edit soon

  5. Sorry it took a while to update, hope u all enjoy

  6. Nice guide :) Imma go for a hybrid now XD

  7. Hybrid do have an advantage over both build types. Simply because they have higher EB plunder.

But in wars they can be a big liability without subsequent BFA and BFE they become possibly the biggest leak in a war just barely above an inactive. I know this first hand. It is painful trying to come out of KO at most times a good war clan will have two or three people minimum waiting for you to come out scout bombing and whacking you back into KO

  8. I get about 50% inc fails on attacks in ee from any build comparable in size (bigs still get through, as they should) about 75% failed asn (big hansels get through as they should) and all in all like this build for any type of war or 1v1.

  9. Someone mention strong hybrids 

  10. Best of both worlds...mash and get mashed by both att and spy builds. ;)

  11. Hybrids........pfffft

  12. Hybrids are good eb builds

  13. To Diablo, with any build u will occasionally find yourself stuck in KO by multiple enemies, try reporting the inc to your clan, telling them who is sitting on you, and have your clan even up the numbers and help u out.

  14. I'm actually going hybrid. All becuz of this thread

Lolz jk I didn't even read that.

But uh yah, guide to any build: build **** that fits your stats into that category

  15. I do report my incoming but with all the tracking I have to keep up with in war gets a little difficult to get it out before I'm KO. Which makes it all the more fun.

But either way with BFA and BFE a hybrid can be a dangerous asset to any war team.

But as CynderStrike said build what fits your style.

  16. Pretty much, if u dont have a build that suits u, that's when KaW starts to suck. It's funner having a personal build :D
