    Welcome to my latest thread

    Today we go over the army alphabet enough to be able to speak to another individual.

    To begin, the army alphabet starts with Alpha and ends with Zulu, or for you civilians A-Z.

    There isn't much difference apart from the extended alphabetical words.

    ECHO NOVEMBER DELTA KILO ALPHA WHISKEY

    To make this easy to understand I will present a list normal alpha with army alphabet beside them...

    A = ALPHA
    B = BRAVO
    C = CHARLIE
    D = DELTA
    E = ECHO
    F = FOXTROT
    G = GOLF
    H = HOTEL
    I = INDIA
    J = JULIET
    K = KILO
    L = LIMA
    M = MIKE
    N = NOVEMBER
    O = OSCAR
    P = PAPA
    Q = QUEBEC
    R = ROMEO
    S = SIERRA
    T = TANGO
    U = UNIFORM
    V = VICTOR
    W = WHISKEY
    X = X-RAY
    Y = YANKEE
    Z = ZULU

    MIKE ALPHA YANKEE KILO ALPHA WHISKEY HOTEL ALPHA VICTOR ECHO ALPHA SIERRA WHISKEY INDIA FOXTROT TANGO DELTA ECHO ALPHA TANGO HOTEL

    Now that you are armed with this knowledge, take it to whoever you want and show them your brilliant new skill.

  10. Being in the military, this applies to all branches. It isnt just the Army's and is known as the Phonetic Alphabet.

  15. Since we are correcting this arbitrarily considering the army does indeed use the format and we know what he means, why don't you call it by it's rooted name of "IRSA" or INTERNATIONAL RADIOTELEPHONY SPELLING ALPHABET that is used by all of NATO and not just our military:)

  16. So by this logic people speak Mexican, American, Brazilian, etc. The logic :lol: nobody calls it the Army Alphabet. But its referred to as the Phonetic Alphabet. Btw i never metioned what military i was in. Soo :lol:
