Orisons of Glory - Part 8

Discussion in 'Past Events' started by [ATA]Grant, Apr 11, 2017.

  1. Because this event has many different factors, including PvP you should read this post in full.

Players CAN opt out of PvP at ANYTIME (including before the event stars).

OPTING OUT WILL HAVE AN EFFECT ON YOUR EVENT AND REWARDS.

ONCE OPTED OUT, YOU CANNOT OPT BACK IN

READ BELOW BEFORE CHOOSING IF OPTING OUT IS RIGHT FOR YOU.

EVENT LEADERBOARDS AND REWARDS ARE NOT VISIBLE UNTIL THE EVENT BEGINS AT 3PM PDT

The god of clans, Ithioch the Loyal, has dispatched you to the country of Phantassos, where a divine winged horse with the strength of a thousand warriors is running rampant!

You must subdue the beast somehow and make it your steed. Fortunately, you know of a magical herb with the power to soothe even the angriest beast.

    Favors of Ithioch

As you complete Epic Battles from now and the end of the event on April 21st at 1PM PST you'll earn Non-stealable Favors of Ithioch.

As you win wars you'll earn Non-stealable Favors of Ithioch as follows:

    Team Performance
    Winning Team: 600 Favors
    Losing Team: 0 Favors

    Individual Actions
(Based on # of successful Attack or Defence actions)

PLAYERS WHO HAVE NOT OPTED OUT OF PVP will have these Non-stealable Favors AUTOMATICALLY CONVERT to STEALABLE FAVORS.

    IMPORTANT NOTE

For all players, only Non-stealable Favors will be dropping. These will be automatically made Stealable by combining with Oats of Competition.

Once opted out, Oats of Competition will be removed, and favors will no longer automatically convert into their Stealable form.

SEE OPT OUT DETAILS BELOW FOR MORE INFO.

    Fight for Favors!

    THIS EVENT INCORPORATES PVP

Stealable Favors of Ithioch are stealable!

If a player successfully hits you (it doesn't matter whether it's an Attack or Steal), there will be a chance of them taking a portion of your Favors. The number they get will be based upon the number you have, and the size difference between the two of you.

There are ways to bank and protect your Favors.
    SEE BELOW

    Banking Stealable Favors

You will be able to protect up to 2,000 of your Stealable Favors each day by purchasing Chest of Secure Fate from the Marketplace. Purchasing the Chest of Secure Fate will convert 500 of your Stealable Favors into 500 ***Banked*** - Stealable Favor of Ithioch.

AT THE END OF THE HUNT once stealing has been disabled, these ***Banked*** - Stealable Favors of Ithioch will once again be converted into Stealable Favors, which are what determine PvP Event Rewards at the end of the event.

    Opting Out of PvP

For those who DO NOT WANT to take part in the PvP side of this event, you can OPT OUT OF PVP by first purchasing Ribbon of Exemption in the Marketplace for 1 Gold, and then casting the Ribbon of Exemption spell at the top of the Alchemist.

NOTE: You must purchase the Ribbon of Exemption item in the Marketplaceto be able to Opt-Out using the Alchemist Spell.

OPTING OUT AFFECTS REWARDS AND DIFFICULTY.
ONCE YOU OPT OUT YOU CANNOT OPT BACK IN

OPTING OUT WILL IMMEDIATELY PROTECT ALL OF YOUR STEALABLE FAVORS. PLUS, YOUR STEALABLE FAVORS WILL BE CONVERTED TO NON-STEALABLE FAVORS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF OPTING OUT.

Note: Opting out at any point, even towards the end of the event will remove you from the PvP Event Rewards

PLEASE SEE DETAILS BELOW BEFORE CHOOSING TO OPT OUT

    Unique Event Spells

As you finish EBs, in addition to event items, there's a chance that you will get Verses of Reversal. Verses of Reversal can then be exchanged for one of four spells in the Alchemist.

    Swiftshadow Fate
Increases the number of event items you take from a player with a successful hit (attack/steal) by 100%

    Field of Hindrance
Decreases the number of event items taken from you by 50%.

    Capricious Blessing
On a successful hit (attack/steal), one of 4 unique effects may occur
(Take more items, generate more items, cast Blessing of Hinterlight (35% 2-Hour Plunder Spell), receive a Capricious Chest)

    Touch of Fate
On a successful scout action you have a 10% chance to give them a small shield that prevents them from taking or having collection items taken from them for 10 minutes

In addition to that, there's a very special

    Greater Fatelock Shield
For 8 hours after casting, you cannot take, or have any items taken from you. To cast this spell you must first purchase Ithioch’s Guard from the Marketplace for 1 Gold. You can only purchase Ithioch’s Guard ONCE every 24 hours.

ONLY 1 EVENT SPELL may be active at a time (This includes Greater Fatelock Shield).
Purchasing a NEW EVENT SPELL will REPLACE YOUR CURRENT ONE.

Spell Reagents can also be purchased from the Marketplace using Nobility Points.

    Leaderboards

In order for this event to accommodate those who Opt-Out of PvP, we will have two distinct leaderboards.

    PvP Leaderboard
This leaderboard tracks the progress of players who have not opted out of PvP.
Note that this leaderboard does not include ***Banked*** Favors. These will be unbanked at the end of the event, and added to your total PVP Event Progress.

If you opt out of PvP at any time, you are not eligible for this leaderboard's rewards. Instead, see the Opt-Out leaderboard details below.

    Opt-Out Leaderboard
This leaderboard tracks the progress of players who have opted out of PvP.

    Both leaderboards have EXCLUSIVE rewards.

You can only choose to participate in one.

    Endecatheon Wartokens

    Wartokens are awarded as follows:

    Team Performance
    Winning Team: 300 Wartokens
    Losing Team: 0 Wartokens

    Individual Actions
(Based on # of successful Attack or Defence actions)

    Holy Forge Box

As you complete Epic Battles you'll occasionally find Keepers Boxes. These rare chests can contain a number of goods including Health Crystals, Event Items, Seals of the Damned, and more!

You can open these chests in one of two ways.

    1) Purchasing a Holy Forge Key from the Marketplace using Gold. You can purchase ONE of these per day.
    2) Purchasing a Gold Holy Forge Key from the Marketplace using Nobility. There is no limit on the number you may purchase.

    Equipment

Rewards from this event provide you with various Equipment depending on your placement in the event.

Over the course of the entire Orisons of Glory series, you'll be able to earn multiple pieces of equipment, providing dedicated players with a complete set.

You can view the Equipment rewards in the "Preview" tab in the events page

    Banner Tokens

You'll be able to earn the base Event Banner during any chapter of the overall Orisons of Glory event. You'll only ever be able to get ONE base banner, however, you can then upgrade these banners using Holy Champion Token also earned from the event.

This event looks hot thanks devs!
When will we be able to see the event in the preview page?

  3. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

    So many words

  4. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

    They're important. Worth the read.

  5. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

    dope

  6. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

It will start showing at 3PM PDT (in approximately 45 minutes), when the event starts.

  7. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

    Oh, nice going devs. <3

  8. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

You do realize event such a descriptive event as this one will confuse people. Either way tho if I like the idea of making PVP optional. Too many rules though.

  9. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

Pvp based event I'm in love it!

  10. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

The only rules are opt out or stay opted in. Rest is self explanatory

  11. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

To clarify: the 4 unique event spells you can get after receiving an eb drop.

It says you buy these from the marketplace - is this correct or should the spells be sold in the alchemist like others?

  12. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

Does that 2000 you bank stay unstealable for rest of event or does it go back to being stealable sorry if this was answered in article, little confused.

  13. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

My guess is that it will be unstealable. There's obviously not just a limit on items but on time too. Try and get 2,000 or less daily to have a big sum of unstealable items.

  14. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

How will opting out of pvp affect ep drops? If what I think is right if it doesn't affect eb drops(max of 1350 to like 900 max) then is there any reason to stay in pvp if chasing t10/50/100 eb for those fairies out there?

  15. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

I'm lazy to read but does this pvp stuff work in scheduled EE wars ?

  16. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

    Alchemist, that's correct. Post updated.

  17. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

So after opting out the items are still steal able for 24 hours ?

  18. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

    What are oats of competition?
    Are they earned or bought?
Do we combine with favours or are they automatic?

  19. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)

Am I right in believing event starts in 35 minutes? What type of heads up is that Devs? Normally I wouldn't mind but this is pvp based and we all get automatically pushed in. Feel sorry for those currently sleeping and not aware of the crap storm that's coming if they didn't bank. Way to go Devs! You had one bloody job!!!!!!!!!!

  20. Re: Orisons of Glory - Part 8 (STARTS 3PM PDT)
