Captain Morilwen of the Deity’s First Archers stared northward from her lookout perch near the apex of the ice tree, her slight form invisible against the backdrop of the star-flooded hoarfrost night. The winds of the heights whipped at her from every direction, yet she stood arrow-straight and stock-still upon the slender bough for all the world as if she were on a breezeless plain. Her eyes, acute even by elven standards, scanned the horizon beyond the lands where the snows grew thick, while her mind mulled over recent news. She had just come from the chambers of her nephew, Deity-Prince Lysanthir, where the Mage of the Unkari was delivering a dire pronouncement. “The reason the healers cannot cure his highness,” muttered the Mage to the deity-king and deity-queen as they sat by the bed of the unconscious boy “is that he is not ill.” Next to the three lay Lysanthir in his bed, corpse-cold but alive, the newest victim of the strange “ice plague” that had already claimed several victims among the Unkari in the past fortnight. Around them bustled healers, who had been working without rest over the past two days and nights, anxiously plying their art in a struggle to keep the boy’s temperature from falling any further. Deity-Queen Eresti fixed the Mage with an imperious, but exhausted look. “What, then? Speak plainly.” “We have determined that it is a curse, not a plague. The Oracle is even now scrying to find the source of the curse, and the healers are doing what they can in the meantime to keep his highness comfortable and delay its...culmination.” Eresti could not hold back a gasp at the thought. Those who fell victim to the “ice plague” and died… Deity-King Morthil took her hand and held it tightly. His eyes flashed with barely concealed rage. He required no Oracle to divine the source of such an unspeakable form of attack. He turned and locked eyes with his sister Morilwen, who had been standing at the entrance to the chamber. She nodded immediately and vanished out the door. Now, a quarter of an hour later, Morilwen stood atop the lookout perch. A rare chill shook the captain as she contemplated the revelation. Attack by curse. Such action was considered an atrocity by the Unkari, and a clear declaration of war... An arrow suddenly vibrated in the bough by her left foot, but she did not so much as glance at it. She knew what it would be; a messenger arrow from one of her sentinels warning her of what she could already see. On the distant snowy horizon, a pale blue stain was crawling into view. The Rimefolk were on the march. ***** Deep underground, in a frozen cavern bathed in the light of its own flickering enchantments, on the side of a pillar of ice surrounded by symbols of magic and warning, appeared a crack... So I'm assuming it will be the usual low amount of event items given from the blitz events? Or are you guys gonna give normal pvp players a chance of the 10/15k rewards?
Wow. A promo but no season 6. Why am I not surprised? Edit: I jumped the gun on this one. Appears there is an EE element. Looking forward to it as well as Asian friendly war times.
In a way it's a mini war season built into an event as war not only rewards the pve side it also has it's own war event.
300 tokens for EE is an insult. Show you care about war, you ATA hosers. Bump it up to 1000 tokens a war.
And the number you get doesn't really matter as you only get rewarded for top 100,10,1. They aren't used for anything else. They could of picked any number and the competition would be the same. It's not like you need a certain number to achieve a tier.
Glad you like it. We hope it does too. The number of event items rewarded from PVP weekend will be the same as previous events. Keep in mind that the number of event items required for Top Tiers is variable based on competition, but traditionally, if are a Top player in two PVP weekend events, that would put you into the Top 100 in the main event by playing less than half the number of days as a PVE player. This doesn't include completing EBs during the week to supplement that number. This includes defensive actions and is based off LL war data. Should be good but we'll keep an eye on it and adjust if it's too difficult. It's 300 for a win and up to 300 extra for successful war actions (offensive and defensive). That means 1) Winning will reward you with double and 2) You can still earn up to 300 even when you lose. That's a pretty big increase. On top of that, you are no longer competing with PVE for the Top Reward tiers, and are only competing against other warring players. This guy knows.
my only question is what's the rate of getting banner tokens? to get 40 in the event do you need to be top 10 4 times? or what
Also, why the deviation from offensive based equip? I would give an arm and a leg for an offensive breastplate.. 10 defensive ones aren't really that unique
2 months of event? a little overkill but suppose if we hit ebs when not in war then we might aswell get a reward for it
Again add more suitable war times. 8 a day if possible. Asians/ Australian timezone cannot even war if they have normal 9-5 jobs. Currently war times are 8am 2pm 6pm and 3am. Two of these are the ll wars which are a poor man's version of primal. Also your number of successful actions is stupid. In primal most fail cause of towers and no bfa or bfe and in indi most att builds fail scouts cause of the massive sdts now with abc builds. Plus you most likely tank in these wars which means u take fails.
