  1. Kappa and the Legendary Swords

    Overview

Thought to have been lost forever to the oceans, the water imp emperor Kappa has found both Kusanagi and Escalibur, the legendary swords of the East and West, and plans to wield their power to enslave the peaceful water nymph nations. Recover the swords to thwart his sadistic plans.

Epic Battle One: Meeting the Spirit of Yotsune

    Battle Overview:

The samurai Yotsune was the last person to have seen Kusanagi before it was lost in the naval battle of Dan-no-Ura. Awaken his spirit from his slumber and find out what he knows.

    TOP RED BAR

Yotsune is comfortable in his eternal sleep and has no desire to pursue Kusanagi, restart the fires within him.
(Players will throw Elixir of Rage to at the appropriate times.)

    Phase 1 of 2

    BLUE BAR: TENGU WARRIORS
The Tengu forest warriors had pledged to protect the Samurai graveyard from all intruders. Fight them off.
(90,000 Attack/Assassin bar when done players throw items at the red bar until 50 percent.)

    Phase 2 of 2

    GREEN BAR: WATER IMP SCOUTS

Some of Kappa’s scouts saw your fight with the Tengu and are hurrying away to tell their Emperor. Have your spies take care of them before they reach open water.
       (110,000 Assassin Bar)
    YELLOW BAR: MONK BENKEI
The Giant Warrior Monk Benkei wakes up first, and is furious at your desecration of General Yotsune’s grave.

Benkei is too tall and dangerous to fight at close range. Projectile weapons are needed.
(110,000 Attack bar. However, attackers must have a projectile weapon (Throwing Glaive, Electric Storm bow, Nomad Warrior Bow, etc) wielded in offhand to hit. Once Benkei and imp scouts are cleared players proceed to throw items at Yotsune until EB cleared)

    Epic Battle Ending and Drops

The spirit Yotsune says Kusanagi will be guarded by the eight-headed serpent Yamata-no-Orochi. “Yamata has only one weakness,” he says, and hands out flasks of Sake Liquor to you and your comrades.

The Epic Battle will include drops of a new attack potion, Sake Liquor Flasks, to be used in Epic Battle Three.

Epic Battle Two: The Lady of the Lake

    Battle Overview:
No one understands Excalibur better than the Lady of the Lake, who first gave it to humankind. Seek her council about how to defeat it.

    TOP RED BAR

The Lady of the Lake is reluctant to discuss Excalibur with just anyone. Have your spies charm the information out of her.
(Scout bar, to be scouted at appropriate times.)

    Phase 1 of 2

    BLUE BAR: WOLF SHARKS

Having gotten wind of your plans, Kappa sends schools of wolf sharks to drive you to land.

(150,000 Attack/Assassin bar. When finished Scout Lady to 75%)

    Phase 2 of 2

    YELLOW BAR: CANARY ROCKFISH
As you approach the Lady’s dwelling, a Canary Rockfish starts squawking, attracting unwanted attention.
The Canary Rockfish looks lonely, perhaps some attention from a similar kind?)
(Item Bar 100,000 Throw Item Canary until cleared.)

    GREEN BAR: SCOTCH BOTTLES
Your troops notice multiple bottles of fine, single-malt whiskey throughout the Lady’s dwelling.

Note: Like in Ambush, the Scotch bottles would be an optional 150,000 steal bar. Players have an option of either scouting the Lady or stealing the Scotch. However, unlike Ambush, doing the steal bar will have benefits for the third EB. Doing the steal bar will cause the item Scotch Bottle to drop at the end of the EB, which will be used in the third Epic Battle of the series. The more that is stolen, the more items dropped. Clans have to decide whether to finish the EB quickly and only scout the lady or delay the ending in order to get more scotch bottles.

    Epic Battle Ending and Drops

The Lady tells you, “Excalibur is not part of this world; none of your man-made toys can harm it. To get Excalibur, you would need it to wield something just as legendary.” You thank the Lady for her cryptic message and go off to face Kappa.

Epic Battle Three: Kusanagi, The Legendary Sword of the East
