ATA IDs

The ATA ID is a login that lets you link your account to a new device, or to PC versions (Facebook/Mochi), or play on PC at http://www.kingdomsatwar.com

An ATA ID is based on an email and password you supply.
Keep this information confidential as it can be used to access your account.

This post will cover the following:
  • How to Create an ATA ID
  • How to link to a new device
  • How to reset your password
  • What to do if you can't access your account


To create an ATA ID :

If you have access to your account:
    1. Log into your account and go to:
      Settings (iDevice) or a Cog icon (on Android) > Account Management > ATA ID
    2. Enter the email and password you would like to use for your ATA ID then press “Sign Up”
    3. Receive your free Health Crystal for signing up!

***You MUST use a valid email address for this.***
Your ATA ID is used to help verify your account with support or so you can self transfer.
If you forget your password and the email address does not actually exist, you will be unable to retrieve your password.

Please use a permanent personal email address and not a business of educational address.
We will only change ATA ID's if there is an obvious typing error.

Examples of good emails to use:
yourname@gmail.com
yourname@hotmail.com
yourname@me.com
yourname@facebook.com



To link to a new device:

    1. Install the game on the device you want to play on.
    2. Look for 'Already have an Account? Recover it" and select "Log in with ATA ID", and then login with your ATA ID Username (email address) and password you choose.

    Hint: If you have already created a temporary account on your device, from the main game screen go to:
      Settings > Account Management > ATA ID/ Facebook > "Already have an Account? Log in"

PLEASE NOTE: logging in with your ATA ID does NOT remove your account from the old device, it only links it to the new device.



Limitations
    To prevent abuse of this system players can transfer or recover their accounts a limited number of times. Performing too many transfers or recoveries over a period of time (this can vary) will result in this feature being disabled.

Forgot your ATA ID password?

If you need to reset your ATA ID password please use the links below:

*You will need to remember the email address that was used to setup ATA ID for your main account (email address = ATA username), this link to send the password reset link to that email account*

To limit abuse of the self recovery system, we do limit the amount of times you can transfer to a new device. If you reach this limit, you will not be able to add any additional devices to your account, however you will still be able to access your account on the previously linked devices and on PC.



If you CANNOT access your main account and need help:

Email support with the following information (device_transfers@athinkingape.com):
    1. Account name and game:
    2. Name of your clan, club, family, alliance or tribe:
    3. IF you have made any in-game purchases from this account. We will require to verify receipts for the last FIVE IN GAME PURCHASES for this account. Please attach these receipts in your response.
    4.Your geographical location (city, state/province, country):
    5. Last login date on original account (dd/mm/yy):
    6. Account creation date of original account (dd/mm/yy):

Facebook

You can link your Kingdoms at War account to Facebook.
Linking to Facebook allows you to play via PC and link your account to a new device, or recover your account to the device it was on if it was factory reset.


To link your Kaw account to Facebook:
    1. Log into your account and go to:
      Settings (a Cog icon on Android) > Account Management > Link to Facebook
    2. Enter the email and password for your Facebook account to complete the link.


To link to a new device:
    1. Install the game on the device you want to play on.
    2. From 'Recovery Account' OR 'Account Management' choose the Facebook field and login with your Facebook login details.

Mochi

You can play the game on PC by using Mochi, Facebook or ATA ID.

This post will cover the following:

  • To link your device to a Mochi account
  • To link your mochi account to a device
  • To link your mochi account to Facebook, and then ATA ID (so you can make purchases via paypal)


Here's how to link your Mochi account onto your Device:

1. Install KaW on your Device, make a temporary account and set-up that account with an ATA ID.
2. Log into Mochi and click "Link Accounts" and choose ATA ID option, you'll need to log in with your ATA ID details. It will then show you both account names, choose the account you want to keep and it will be linked to both Mochi and your iDevice.



How to link Mochi to Facebook:

If you do not currently have a Kingdoms at War account linked to Facebook, and have a Kingdoms at War Mochi account that you would like to link to Facebook, please see the instructions below:

1. Please logon to http://www.mochigames.com/ and then load http://www.mochigames.com/game/kingdoms-at-war/
2. Open another tab in the same browser and logon to http://www.facebook.com/
3. Then load http://www.kingdomsatwar.com/play/
4. Please select “Have an Account? Play Now!”
5. Then select “Mochi Games player?”
6. You will then see a loading screen and will be prompted that you have linked to your Mochi account!



If you are unable to link using the previous steps, please follow the instructions below:

1. Go to http://www.kingdomsatwar.com/
2. Please select "Play FREE Now," then “New Player? Start Playing!”
3. Please complete the tutorial, create a temporary Kingdoms at War account and login with your Facebook account as prompted.
4. Logon to both your original account and temporary account, then leave feedback on both accounts to verify your link request.
5. Please reply to this email with the following:

Original username linked to Mochi:
Temporary username linked to Facebook:

Delinks and Not Supported Requests

We can no longer conduct transfers, under the ATA ID/Facebook recovery system, it is only possible to 'link' new devices to the original account with the ID or Facebook on it.

For security of your accounts, we also CANNOT de-link or change email addresses for Facebook, ATA ID, or Mochi.

If you have recently linked your account to a new device and want the old device removed, this can be done via the Account Management feature. Please see this thread for details on how to do this this post.

If you are planning on selling a device and it does not meet the condition above, please consider factory resetting your device, without backing-up data to clear the game data from it. This is good practise when you will no longer be the owner of the device (and done at your discretion).

You can link any disconnected (freed-up) devices to link to another account. When the device is disconnected, the game will load up with 'choose new username screen' upon access, you can then use the 'Recover Account' option to link that device to the desired account, using the ATA ID option for that particular account.

PLEASE NOTE:If you have performed too many linking attempts or Factory Reset too many times, your account may be locked out.

Account abuse and Lockouts

Why is my account locked out?
To prevent account abuse and any unauthorized actions, there is a security system in place to track the number of devices that are linked to your account, and the number of accounts linked to a single device. The maximum thresholds listed below are not so a player can have multiple accounts on a single device, but available to give players the flexibility to transfer or move their accounts around, without abusing the system.

Limitations
If your account or device hits any of the thresholds below, it may be locked out:
  • Maximum number of devices currently lined on a single account (5 devices max)
  • Maximum number of account log-ins (logging in with ATA ID or Facebook to link your account to a device) (5 log-ins in 6 months max)(this does not count PC log-ins)
  • Maximum number of accounts accessed by a single device (5 accounts max)
  • Device swaps (switching between devices, 5 device swap max) threshold reached
  • Factory resetting too many times (five times max)
  • For iOS accounts, if you delete all ATA Apps and reinstall. This can contribute to the “maximum number of devices” counter (5 devices max).

There is a counter for anytime a device is added. This counter will reduce over time. If you reach this limit or the limits described above, your account or device will be locked out by the system for a period of time (can vary).

*If your account is locked out by the system, it is not possible for us to manually remove this lock, it is completely system automated*

What happens when your device or account is locked out:
  • If your DEVICE is locked out, you will be able to access the last account that was on it.
  • If your ACCOUNT is locked out, you will be able to access it on any devices previously linked to it.
  • You will not be able to add your account to anymore devices, and if you have factory reset you will not be able to regain access to your account, (as a factory reset counts against the device limit)
  • If you factory reset your device and hit a maximum threshold, you will no longer be able to use your log in credentials to restore your account.

You can still access your account from devices you already have linked or via PC. If you have added new devices but are in fact the same device (factory reset, app reinstall.), it will still count towards to limit of 5 and will make your account inaccessible.

PLEASE NOTE: Support can not lift this automatic lock on your account. They can however, tell you how long you will have to wait until it expires on its own.

REMINDER: you can only link up to 5 devices every 6 months and the counter decays at a rate of 1 per 6 months.
